Great! With Mark from England who gave us our tour. He was very informative on the tour, a past teacher, sometimes very opinionated which he could have kept to himself. A strong lover of his new home, being in Germany for 6years. Did his job well, we even got a coffee break. Great guy and a great guid.

My wife and I booked a Berlin Walking last September and it was a fabulous experience. Simon, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and catered the pace and the sights to our interests. As a matter of fact we ended up extending the tour by about another 90 minutes because of his knowledge and amiability.

We really enjoyed this tour. Sadie proved to be a great and enthusiastic tour guide who clearly has thoroughly immersed herself in the culture and history of Berlin. Her knowledge of the sites was heavily in depth, educational and entertaining (although she could do with some better jokes 😜). Our only criticism of Sadie is towards the end of the... More

My boyfriend and I spent a total of nine days in Berlin (12/25/15-01/03/16) and had the great pleasure that Jeremy was available for a private tour. From the first contact via email to the last good-bye after the tour, Jeremy was one of the most pleasant and knowledegable people we have ever met. We started our tour with another family... More

My wife and I spent 5 fascinating hours with Jeremy on a freezing cold Berlin winters day. We selected a Jewish oriented tour and we got exactly what we asked for. Jeremy has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Berlin history and was able to give us an in-depth answer to all questions. In particular, Jeremy gave us an experience rather than... More

My friend and I did a half day jewish walking tour with Jeremy which opened our eyes to things we would not have been able to discover for ourselves. He took us to off the beaten track locations and brought the history to life with stories that engaged us completely. He was very flexible with the itinerary and really walked... More

I am delighted to give Jeremy an enthusiastic "5" review. We booked him for a 4 hour walking tour that would focus on the history of Berlin with an emphasis on Jewish history. It was like spending the time with an intelligent and engaging friend. He provided an incredible amount of information in a thoroughly enjoyable way. It's much more... More

I was concerned about being able to manage this tour as I have mobility difficulties, however, I need not have worried because Gwen our guide was considerate and helpful and Berlin is mainly flat. Gwen was a wonderful guide, she really brought the history and culture of Berlin to life for us and answered all our questions effeciently and with... More

We had a great day with Jeremy. He is very personable and we were lucky enough to have him to ourselves. He tailored the day to suit our needs. He gives over his knowledge as a story teller not a lecturer which makes for a really enjoyable experience. His photos and iPad helped convey a full historical picture. He also... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
