My husband, teenage daughter and I had a wonderful time touring for almost 2 full days with Jeremy during our spring break in Berlin. Jeremy is very knowledgeable about all things "Berlin." He took us to see many of the important historical spots of Berlin and put them into context in a thoughtful manner. He also showed us some well... More

We were privileged to take a walking tour with Jeremy Minsberg in Berlin! Not only was the tour very informative, it was a delight to meet and spend the day with him! We covered the history of Berlin and the history of the Jews in Berlin! I highly recommend anyone coming to Berlin to take this tour with Jeremy! He... More

We had only one day to see the sights of Berlin with our 3 teenage children and Robert Sommers was amazing! He took us all over the city sharing not only historical information but personal stories as well to help us really appreciate Berlin! He was fun, friendly, knowledgeable and made our day really special. Even as we were ending... More

We had a tour with Robert who showed us around the city, the main sights but also goes a bit off the regular path which is great. It wasn't your typical big company tour which is perfect for Berlin. We hit on mostly ww2 history. He's from Berlin and has some great stories about what the city has gone though.... More

Tour was amazing. The guide had a wealth of knowledge and was very interesting. Never a dull moment and learned a lot. Worth every penny and would go again with the guide.

What a find! Jeremy is the ultimate guide -warm, friendly, fun, and most importantly THE ultimate Berlin Expert! My 25 yr old son and I just spent about 9 hours with Jeremy spread over 2 days. Email correspondence was quick as Jeremy laid out a rough itinerary for us for each morning. Jeremy has a special way of imparting his... More

Jeremy was able to work with us to tailor our day in Berlin so well that in the 45 years I have been traveling I have never had a better tour!!! It was fun, informative and tailored to... More

I am studying abroad as a college student and traveled to Berlin with two of my other friends. Jeremy was great and showed us everything that we wanted to know in Berlin. He was very interactive and made the buildings come alive. He had videos on his ipad and pictures of what took place during the war right where we... More

This started at the Brandenburg gate and from that moment it was clear we were going to be treated to a wonderful tour. The guide was an ex history teacher who proved not only to be knowledgeable but had an insight into what created the modern Berlin. He was stimulating, inspiring and had an empathy for this city that he... More

Jeremy was not available so he refereed me to Robert. Robert is great to work with, he contacted me right away and answered all the questions that I sent him before we got to Berlin. He showed up right on time at the hotel, we briefly went over our tour. I enjoyed the tour as Robert is very easy going... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
