We had the most amazing time on our tour with Jeremy. He is great fun, interesting, warm with loads of energy. I can't recommend him highly enough. Don't go to Berlin without booking your tour with Jeremy first!

Jeremy was unable to tour with us on our available days in Berlin, so he recommended Ari Kloke as our guide. Ari met us at our hotel 9AM and we were off and running!! First stop American coffee(at our request!)....and we were on our way! She took us to so many interesting sights, with an emphasis on Jewish history as... More

It was our first visit to Berlin and Jeremy gave us an excellent introduction to the city through a 4 hour walking tour. He customised it to suit our needs and we had a absolutely great time. Besides the usual major sights, he took us to places I would not have known about or thought to visit like the main... More

We were lucky enough to see parts of Berlin with a real expert. From the moment we met Jeremy we felt so comfortable and he made the tour interesting and fun and tailored it exactly to our requests. He is a lovely guy with an abundance of knowledge and it feels like he is a friend rather than a guide.... More

i have been on a multitude of tours across Europe and Jeremy was by far the best tour guide I have ever had. He is warm, affable, funny and an absolute Encyclopedia of fascinating knowledge. The best thing about Jeremy is his flexibility in options. He can focus on American, German or Jewish history and there is not a street... More

Our tour set off from the Hauptbahnhof and the extent of the tour was explained at the outset. However there were some customers who misunderstood and dropped out quite quickly. Our tour included visits to the area of the Chancellery, Reichstag, Tiergarten and Brandenburg Gate. We then took in visits to the site of Hitler's bunker, The Holocaust memorial and... More

Jeremy Ginsberg runs first class tours of Berlin. He's not only knowledgeable on facts but has an amazing array of back stories that make Berlin's history come alive...We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 days of touring with him. Highly recommend!!!

Jeremy is an American who, for interesting personal reasons, moved to Berlin to live in a city that tried to exterminate everything about him. Now, fifteen years later, Jeremy loves Berlin and exhibited that love by showing us how the city puts its despicable past in its own face. We did not sign up for a tour of Jewish Berlin,... More

The vibrant, reunited city of Berlin has once again become a center for history, culture and entertainment. Several friends who had recently visited there urged my wife and I to make it Number 1 on our “bucket list.” We did! To maximize our five days there, we hired Jeremy Minsberg as our guide for two, fast-moving days. A fifteen-year American... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
