Where to Berlin for the first time, be sure to do the tour with this group Viva Berlin guides, they speak English, Spanish, and others. The knowledge that Elia and Arnau passed both the city tour as in Sachsenhausen concentration camp, was fantastic. Always helpful and always with good suggestions and answers. I recommend.

Great tour, most of all because of the great communication skills from our spanish speaking guide, Elia! For about 4 hours she guided us thru Berlin with enthusiasm and totally happy about her job. Really good service!

This tour is awesome!! I've done in English last year with Jessica (who does love Berlin's history) and this year I've done in Spanish - coz my parents don't speak English - with Daniel, that was good as a guide as well! This tour ir good for having a first idea how is Berlin, a little bit of its history... More

We hadn't planned on going to Sachsenhausen during our stay in Berlin. The only reason we went was because we found a flyer telling us about this free tour. We were absolutely amazed by the quality of this tour! Dennis was a fabulous tour guide - definitely the best one I've come across on my entire trip to Europe! This... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighborhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighborhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city center are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighborhood in the city.
