Our guide Tobi was wonderful. My husband and I weren't sure about the segways but we had lots of time to practise and felt confident by the time we were ready to go out on the streets. We spent a wonderful few hours learning about Berlin and Tobi was a great guide and had a great sense of humour. We... More

We stayed in berlin only few days and we would never visit all those important hystorical points if we would walk. Great excursion! Fun and informative. If I remamber right, the name of our guide was Tom (funky british guy with a wonderful "graphity skills"😂😂). Thank you very much for being such an excited storyteller and thank you for your... More

The best way to quickly see the main Berlin spots. It was our 1st time to drive a Segway. William, the guide, was fantastic to teach and fun to talk about Berlin. I strongly recommend to everybody.

Having previously taken a similar tour in Prague we were looking forward to the one in Berlin. It is a great way to familiarise yourself with the layout of Berlin while seeing so many sites. The segways were good and although you go on the road there was lots of respect from other motorists. Kyla was excellent. A very knowledgeable... More

Booked on the Segway tour a) to get a feel for the city, b) never been on a Segway. The guide we had was excellent once you got past his initial over familiarity and his quirky take on the features we stopped at was informative and funny. The only sad part was that the schedule should have included the Reichstag... More

What a tour! Our guide, Kyla, explained to us everything we need to know about Berlin. Under her instructions we manage to control the segway very easily. I would recommend this tour.

City Segway Tour is a wonderful way to experience the city as it whisk you from location to location without the pain of traffic or parking! One of the most difficult things about visiting sites is the difficulty in maneuvering through unfamiliar streets with a car, having to look for parking or sitting on a tour bus falling asleep. Walking... More

We got to see so much during our 3 hour Segway Tour - which meant we got to do a lot over our 3 night trip :) Worth every penny, we zipped in and out of traffic and never felt vulnerable. My friend and I had been on a Segway before, but our other friend had not. Great training and... More

A fantastic and fun way to see the sights of Berlin in half a day. We booked the 3 hour tour taking in sites like Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg gate, Memorial to the murdered Jews, Hitlers bunker and many more. The tour starts in Alexanderplatz were you meet your tour guide and others that will be in your group, we had... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
