Visited Berlin early February as part of a group of 13 blokes on a stag party. Had pre booked the segway tour for our first full day and it didn't disappoint. Our tour guides, Bree and Irish fella, who's name I can't remember, took as on a great tour of the city, even though temperatures were in the minus'. The... More

This is by far one of the best city tours I've experienced. Our guide was Walid and we had a great time! He is a wonderful guide, very entertaining and knowledgeable about the city. When I initially inquired about a tour for our group of 4, they didn't have a scheduled tour for the day we requested but accommodated our... More

We had so much fun on the Segways, we were a gang of 10 friends and it was so easy to learn how to use one, we saw a lot of the sights, could believe that we were amongst the traffic on the way back it was crazy - loved it.

Best tour around Berlin led by Walid! Before we left to go on the 4 hour tour, Walid was kind to show us the ropes for riding a segway. Being a beginner like myself, I felt comfortable riding around the city of Berlin after practicing for a good 10-15 minutes in a smaller area, Walid made the tour fun and... More

Berlin has LOTS to see, and it is spread out. Taking a segway bridges the gap between lots of cool things to see and getting around to them quickly, all while ABOVE ground. Well worth the $$ for the half-day tour.

My wife Loretta was very keen to try this new experience on Segway. She was absolutely right. It is so much fun and easy enough to learn to use it in minutes. You need to provide the driving licence details to confirm booking. Our guide was Walid, the strangest, funniest, and craziest guide we ever had. He made the tour... More

This is by far the best way to see a city. 4 very good hours with Walid who is the best guide I've ever had - and I do a fair bit of travelling. It was freezing cold today and took about an hour to return to normal after, so would recommend a couple of extra layers, good gloves and... More

We did the two hour Segway tour with Kyla. Probably best it was shorter as it was very cold! I was a bit nervous about doing it, knowing how bad I can be at balancing etc. nothing to worry about. After the first five minutes it felt as natural as riding a bike. My husband said it was more like... More

This was my first trip to Berlin and decided to do this tour over the cycle tour as I've always wanted to ride a segway. I was not disappointed by my decision. Our guide, Walid, was super informative and kept the tour interesting with his sense of humour. You get to see the main sites of the city and get... More

I had booked this tour whilst back in the UK for 4 of us, when we first arrived and took sight of the Segways I must admit we were all a little nervous, but no need. Walid our guide for the 4 hour tour was hilarious and put us at ease straight away. The Segways were really easy to use... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
