My 16 year old daughter and I did this on our first day in Berlin and, yes, you feel like a stupid tourist but it is a lot of fun. Tobi, our guide was well-informed and very funny. After learning to use our Segways, we spent three hours or so riding around most of the central city attractions: Museuminsel, the... More

I took the 3 hour city tour which consists of about 40 minutes of "Segway training" and then about 2,5 hours city exploring. We did see most of the "big sights" in Central Berlin except the government discrict. Our (german) guide was friendly and quite patient with our "Segway rookies".

We booked a tour before we arrived in Berlin. 5 of us on segways and 1 on a bike (you need a driving licence to ride a segway in Germany). Our guide Marietta was friendly informative and knowledgeable. We had a wet 3 hours but it was fun and was a good basis for the rest of our visit. I... More

First time on a segway and it definitely won't be the last! A great way to see the city landmarks with our brilliant tour guide Tobi. He made us all feel safe on the segways before venturing out onto the roads. Tobi had a great knowledge of the history of the city and he made it fun too! A must... More

I booked this as a 'surprise' for my wife, but it turned out to be a surprise for me by covering almost all major historic attraction in Berlin within three hours!!! Plus the excitement and comfort of segway riding, it was a perfect introduction to Berlin. It was our first ride on segway and was very easier than expected. Anyone... More

I booked this for my Birthday in Berlin with a friend and am so glad I did! Would consider it a massive highlight of the whole trip. Our guide Tobi was the friendliest, funniest and most amusing tour guide I have ever met! He made the tour interesting, funny and really informative. The Segways themselves are great fun once you... Just arrived back into our hotel room to dry out after a wet morning in Berlin! We were greeted by William our Segway tour guide who is fun, knowledgable and clearly a born host! I have to say I was not a great fan of the Segway due to being scared to lean forward!!! However that said I made it... More

Great segway tour of Berlin. Good explanation of historic information, interesting sites, entertaining guide! It was the perfect amount of information and length of tour!

The perfect way to hit all the main sites in Berlin. We had a little rain but it didn't dampen the experience. Mariette was knowledgeable and a great host.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
