Great way to see Berlin and enjoy some great Beer!

Excellent tour. Sam showed us some great local spots with the best craft beer in Germany as well as being very knowledgable about the history of the city.

My husband and I just loved this tour with a super nice and well informed guide named Theo. I strongly recommend for Berlin first timers as we were. It was a great starting point.

Theo led us during the Best of Berlin Tour. It was amazing, engaging, and loads of fun! It is unlikely a new visitor to Berlin can learn so much about this magnificient city in such a short time. Major value here. Will do again the next time I come to Berlin. I did a Terry Brewer walking Tour in 2005... More

He knows a lot about the city and he's very funny, I wish the trip was longer you could listen to him for hours. You're awesome, dude.

Alexander's tour was really engaging - he offered so much information, both anecdotal and fun, alongside the fascinating history associated with Berlin and Germany. His tour seemed spontaneous and very personal, unlike many of the other superficial and scripted tours you often come across. The long day was definitely worth it as he covered a lot, he even stuck around... More

Had an excellent tour with Sam to three different locations with lots of detail about the local beers. We also received loads of information on Berlin generally. We all enjoyed the evening even the non-beer drinker !

Yes, I know, it's a big call. But totally true. I had been recommended Brewer's Berlin Tours and they did not let us down, Asoka was just wonderful - enthusiastic, knowledgable and easy going. She really made me fall in love with this wonderful city and I learned more than I could have imagined. I would seriously do this tour... More

This was my second time on this tour, and just as last time, AMAZING! The guides are so knowledgeable and you can tell that they really enjoy what they're doing. This time we had a guide named Alexander, and he made the Brewer's Berlin free walking tour the highlight of our trip! I've been to a lot of walking tours,... More

I had a great experience with Brewer’s Berlin Tours from several months before our arrival. I got in contact with Mate Szedlacsko to discuss options and I chose 3 days tours with them, all private tours for a family of 4.. I did not need to do down payment for reservation and they helped to do individual reservation to visit... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
