I took this tour with Sam on my first day (first hour, really) in Berlin travelling solo and absolutely loved it! He's very knowledgable, friendly, kept a good mix of sitting breaks for short talks and walking. Everybody should know the basics of German/Berlin history, but Sam was filled with all kinds of little tidbits of info and interesting stories... More

I went on this tour alone, but Jonathan (Anthony) immediately made it feel like the group were all good pals. Be prepared for a barage of jokes, as well as all there relavant facts about the famous sites you will see. Jonathan knew his stuff, and I particularly liked hearing his personal views on some of the sites. Highly recommend... More

Did the longer six hour tour as I am really interested in german history. This one costs a little (around 12 euros),however it is worth doing for the knowledge you get out of it. If you have only a few days in berlin do it! Jonathon, our guide was fantastic - not only is he knowledgable, but also funny and... More

I loved this tour so much that I'm coming back 7 weeks later to write it. Yup, my tour guide, Asoka, was that good. This tour was one of the highlights of Berlin - Asoka was friendly and very much a storyteller - she made history come alive in a vivid way - and I was sad at the end... More

We joined the express free tour led by Jonathan (aka Charlie and/or Anthony) and had an amazing time. He is very knowledgeable about the city and a very funny and friendly person. I highly recommend going on this tour and leaving a tip if you enjoyed it. Enjoy Berlin!

Excellent walking tour of Berlin. It is long (6hrs) but with plenty of breaks. Matt was our tour guide and to say that he provided us with a comprehensive history of each aspect of the tour (with a picture album) is an understatement. My wife and I bravely took out 3 kids with us (ages 14, 12, 6)...and the two... More

My friend and I had missed the original walk we had planned fur o a delayed flight. When our hotel recommended Brewers' free walking tour (tips received based on personal review) we didn't expect much from the complimentary service. But we were so wrong! Jonathan handled a very large international group by keeping them engaged through his humour and informative... More

On our last day in Berlin my fiancee and I decided to avail of the express tour of Berlin. I had already done the tour beforehand many years ago and found it really enjoyable so I suggested that we take it, assuming that it would be just as good as it had been those years ago. Sadly, this wasn't to... More

My wife and I were VERY pleased with the 6 hour (actually over 7) walking tour led by Preston. He knew his material and his admiration for his adopted city (an American in Berlin for past 12-15 years) showed in his description of places and history of events. We have passed on our recommendation of Brewer's to our friends if... More
