Just had a Third Reich Tour from Rob S. from Manchester. He's a great, funny and smart guide and it's a true pleasure listening to him. With his story switching between facts, fiction, jokes and anecdotes, he kept the attention of our rather large group. Our group consisted of about 30 history students so we knew most of what he... Over the course of four weeks I took a Sandeman’s Free Walking tour in Paris, Berlin, Prague, and Madrid. Amy was by far the best! She was enthusiastic, animated, knowledgeable and I really appreciated how she projected her voice. I loved the finale of her tour and only wish I did another tour with her. Thanks Amy! And thanks to... More

This was my initial visit to Berlin and Sebas did an excellent job orienting us. He was knowledgeable, had a sense of humor, and knew what he was doing. His description of the fall of the Wall was one of the highlights --there were other similarly engaging moments. The tour is free, but it's actually worth a generous tip. luna More

Spent 3 1/2 hours with Paul today. Tour started at 9am, good thing as the weather has been very hot, 30C/90F. We heard much about the history of Germany, saw a lot of sights, had things explained we wouldn't know unless Paul told us, walked quickly, had a stop half way though for a much needed cool drink, ended right... For us as group of oncoming historians, a guided tour could be a downright ackward occasion when the guide doesn't have its facts straight. This tour was quite the opposite; our guide Rob gave a proper and decent summary of events leading to the establishment and downfall of the Hitler's Third Reich as an introduction. This was followed with a... More

Before this tour, I steered away from tours like the plague- they just seemed too touristy. But now I take the walking tour with this company in every city they are available because of my experience in Berlin. My tour guide was Rob and he was amazing. He was so passionate and knowledgable. He was also highly entertaining and funny.... More

My boyfriend and I (age 25 and 24) took the New Berlin free tour last week and it was great! 3 1/2 hours went by so fast with all the fascinating history and wonderful sights we discovered. Our tour guide, David, was passionate and knowledgeable. He seemed so excited even though he's probably done that same tour a million times.... More

We had a great time discovering Berlin with Rob Shaw from Manchester. He was very well informed and educated about the subject. He was a great speaker with and was able to bond with the group. It is hard to entertain and inform a group of history students on an academic level, but he did a great job and we... More

I've done a couple of sandmans tours before but this was by far the longest. I was expecting three or a bit more hours but no it went for FOUR and a half. Seb has great knowledge and understanding of Berlin however was not worried about the time. We were so late in finishing we missed museums we wanted to... More

Recently back from 3 days in Berlin. Due to our short stay in a city with so very much to take in we figured a city walking tour would be our best bet to get situated and get a better feel of where to go from there to make the most of our short stay in the city. Although somewhat... More
