On the FREE BERLIN TOUR homepage it says: "*NOTE: If you’re traveling in a large group of more than ten people, than you must pre-register your group (at least 24h in advance) to participate in the NEW Berlin FREE TOUR." Sounds fine, so I send an email to preregistre my 12 member group (high school students-with a limitied amounth of... more

I took the Free Tour with New Berlin Tours and really enjoyed it. Our tour guide was Nikolai (Bulgarian descent, but excellent English - he'd lived in the US). We started off on foot at 1 pm and Nikolai did an excellent job of telling us the history of everywhere we touched on the tour. We stopped for lunch/coffee at... more

Our family definitely loves it. There are many walking tour in Berlin and they will not survive if it is not good enough. Our guide Natasha is definitely a good story teller with lots of energy. You may wonder why they want to do this. Sure, they have confidence that you will like it then compensate their efforts. You may... more

First of all let me tell you we are not the "organized tour type". I read about this tour on trip advisor and as it was free i thought that if we didnt like it, we could go in the middle. We went to starbucks a couple of hours after having arrived in berlin. There were a lot of people.... more

It's really free of charge - you just tip the guide at the end. We started at 11am and finished after 3pm (with a break in between). The pace was very good - so no worry that you get in a hazzle. All major aspects of history were coverd. Stefan was our guide - excellent! more

Best tour we did in Germany! On the road I have seen a lot of 'Free - work for tips' tours but they are all poor copies of these guys. Our guide was Nikolai, an American who married a German and lives in Berlin. He was amazing, hilarious and really knew his stuff. We gave 20 between the pair of... more

My husband and I took this tour on our Berlin trip last October. We found a company flier advertising their free tour (which we did not end up doing), and were attracted to a tour titled "Red Berlin". It was a walking tour that lasted about 3 hours with a break for lunch halfway through. Our tour guide, Maria, had... more

I purchased 3 tickets to the New Years pub crawl for myself, my girlfriend, and her friend. On New Years Eve my girlfriend checked the German page of the site to see what time we need to meet up. The meeting place and time had not been updated since last year so we had to assume the info was the... more

Dear Ograv22, We really are sorry that you misread the website and ended up coming so late to the event. It was clearly described on the website, and on the fliers promoting the event throughout every hotel and hostel in Berlin (well...185 of them!). Clearly, it is inexcusable if you were mistreated in anyway, but please keep things in perspective....

We had Paulo, a young man from England. We really enjoyed his passion for Berlin and appreciated his ability to handle a crowd. Considering you can pay what you like, this tour is likely to be a good value. Ask for Paulo and you'll walk away satisfied. more
