This is a beautfiul Gothic church in downtown Wuerzburg. Definitely include it in your tour of the city. It is not huge in scale but is intense in what it packs in. This is one of my favorite places in the city.

Aside from the unique coloring, the church is otherwise pretty average, except for the stunningly beautiful statues (copies of the originals) of Adam and Eve by Tilman Riemenschneider. The history is much more interesting, as the church was built atop the old Jewish quarter.

Imposing late Gothic hall church of the citizenship. 1377 Construction, 1480 supplemented with Tower. The chapel was built in reconciliation of citizenship. The building remained without parish church rights, so a Chapel. Also the "Kramläden" (shops) which already existed in 1437 are still there. We always love that the churches are mostly free and so beautiful. Although Marienkapelle is old, it has a modern feel. It may be small but packs a punch and is worth seeing. There are sculptures at either end of the chapel of the Anunciation and Adam and Eve. A pretty church.
