We first visited Kathe Wohlfahrt's in 1990. Seems like little has changed since then except for the 1 Euro entrance fee. The crowds were overwhelming so I didn't spend a lot of time inside but I would recommend everyone visit this store. Truly one of my favorites although I didn't appreciate the entrance fee.

A city of decorations in a wonderful 12th Century building, the home of Christmas decorations from the very traditional to the more modern. Get there early to avoid the queues!

If in Rothenberg, dont miss this store. It has the most amazing displays of every Christmas decoration imaginable. The store appears smallish from the outside but is a veritable tardis within, with room after room opening up, jammed pack with Christmas joy. Just inside the door is a huge display behind glass of tiny, old fashioned mechanically animated toys whirring... More

If you like Christmas, then this store is certainly for you. Located in the medieval, walled town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, this store is filled with every kind of Christmas decoration you could think of seeing, many hand-made and precious. The room with the rotating, white Christmas tree is rather spectacular and the museum upstairs is worth a visit.... More

A must see when in Rothenburg. The store features wonderful hand made and commercially produced christmas ornaments, cuckoo clocks, souvenirs, and more. Purchase a Schwibogen, Pyramide, Nativity, or a wonderful table decorations for your home. OK for children, but be careful items are easily broken. Don't take little children who like to touch everything. Take your time and enjoy the... More

What a charming town and store. We were told not to miss this and I'm so glad we allowed the time to go thru. It was amazing! We had to go around twice!

Wow! I was so excited to visit after reading about online. My partner and I went (I'm the christmas lover for sure) and I was so disappointed. The place is beautiful, the decorations amazing but horrible customer service. They walk around like you're going to steal something and very unhelpful!! I'm very disappointed but lovely store!

There are several of these stores in town and they are so fun to walk through. Even if you aren't shopping, the displays bring back memories from childhood when the old department stores would put up such fun Christmas displays. Worth the visit even if you aren't buying.

Wow, christmas heaven. This shop is amazing, many different levels of christmas delights, from reasonably priced baubles to amazing hand carved christmas villages, we spent a considerable amount of time in this shop and bought lots for ourselves and gifts too, I would come back again and again!
