It's really a toy town full of beautifully kept buildings that males you feel in a medieval fairy tale. Full of Christmas decoration shops and stuffed teddy bears, nice shopwindows and street. A must see.

If you can, please make it a point of traveling to see this city. It is located in the center of Germany, which makes it easily accessible from almost any area in Germany for an overnight trip. This old walled city is simply amazing in its beauty. Idyllic. I can't tell you how many times I just sat down to... More

This whole town is just idyllic. Perfectly restored, clean and welcoming. From the outer walls to the central marketplatz the buildings, shops, people are amazing. This town was saved by tourism and they know it and it shows. This is what Disney tries to do but on a tiny scale and in a totally fake way. And if you love... More

Everyone who has visited here says they love it. It's beautiful, and small enough that you can really enjoy walking around the cobbled streets and see this ancient city that slept for 250 years. It's the most preserved midevil city, still surrounded by it's amazing walls. Not to be missed!

A beautiful town, a must see, so much to do. Something to see at every turn. The walls are spectacular and you must climb these. Beautiful park, the criminology museum is interesting and the Christmas Museum was gorgeous. Sops beautiful and Christmas shop spectacular.

Wondrous Magical town. A must see at least once. But once will not be enough. You have to go at Christmas (best with snow) but crisp and bright works just as well. Spring is beautiful in blossom walks and wine. Summer festivals are accompanied by traditional festivals celebrated with beer and wine. Romantic Rothenburg Is a must.

What a beautiful and friendly village. My family visited this area on our way through Germany and fell in love with this lovely area. The houses were tidy, the shops were welcoming, everything we learned from this area was wonderful. It was not too busy and the flowers were in bloom. Lovely must see village!

Whether its a romantic getaway or a trip to explore with friends this little town is a picture perfect destination that delivers all it promises and more. There is a good balance of one off shops, souvenirs shops, restaurants and attractions. Wuerzburg is only 1 hour away via the Romantic Road. Seek out the smaller wine producers in the local... More

Must see town even if for one day. Take the free tour that is offered every evening in the center of town.
