Das plonlein is the one which is featured on most postcards and not this. This is another building which is also picture - worthy :) Just visit it if you have extra time :) Otherwise it is enough to just visit the plönlein and take a picture.

Indeed this is the last surviving craftsman's house from the era, and it is worth a look as you pass by while walking the walls, BUT I can't say it is worth going out of your way to see it, particularly if you have limited time. The shop was last a bicycle repair shop, and before that a blacksmith. You... More

On the city guide it said it was worth seeing so we crossed the whole town just to see it. We really didn't get it. I mean, the house is very nice, but there are so many other nice nice building's around we didn't get why this was given this special treatment. Maybe it was our fault, we did not... More

Beautiful building and symmetry. I loved everything about it. Picture perfect. I want to live in it. A great photo can be taken from the city wall and it is worth a look. Near the Tower. I think I took 20 photos of this - it is in most post cards around the city stores. If you are into buildings... More

We walked down to the bridge just to see what it was, well worth the walk. I do not. Understand why it was built that way but still worth the look.

This building is on virtually all Rothenburg postcards and is lovely to look at. It can be found near the Town Tower that is close to the main car parks. Very photographic.

The Gerlach blacksmith, an old Forge, located in the vicinity of the Rödergate (one of the bulwarks in Rothenburg ob der Tauber) is one of the most attractive half-timbered houses in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The building has received a new painting so the beautiful coat of arms and other details are clearly visible. It is one of the most... More
