This is a beautiful garden on the top of the town with a wonderful foggy, almost esoteric view. It is a nice place to relax as it is quite peaceful and silent. It is ideal for those who dislike crowded places and modern city views, as you will only see a lot of amazing green countryside.

It's the old city gardens of the palace (I think!). In the US, we would more call it a city park. It's not gardens as we would think of them, although there is a small garden in it. It's pretty and clean and well worth visiting. What makes it unique is the location. It's on the west end of the... More

Compared to other parks, this is just average. What increases it's rating is the great views over Rothenburg and the countryside. Nice to visit, not necessarily a must do.

My wife and I had a nice block of free time to use in Rothenburg before our scheduled lunch with the rest of our Viking tour group. It was a hot July day and we were feeling a bit tired, so we decided to stroll to the far end of the main street to rest and reenergize in the Burrgarten.... More

A beautiful park at the end of the main street of town. A lovely place to sit and relax or just wander around looking at the views, gardens and a monument to fallen Jews. We spent many afternoons here and enjoyed lovely sunsets.

We arrived in Rothenburg on a gorgeous Spring day and ended up in the park at the end of town. Great views on three sides. A sad monument to Jews killed in the 13th century was outside the small chapel on the property.

The Burggarten is quite beautiful, regardless of season. We were there during a bleak January day, but still enjoyed our walk through the paths and along the wall overlooking the valley. My boys, ages 7 and 5, had some energy to burn, and since the garden was fairly empty, we let them run up and down the paths to their... More

Take a stroll through here after lunch, it's absolutely beautiful and so worth it. Beautiful landscaping, sculptures, and most importantly the most beautiful views for miles. Very peaceful, take lots of pictures!

While taking the Night Watchman's Tour (which we highly recommend). The Burgtor (Castle Tower) is beautiful illuminated at night. As we visited in December for the ChristkindleMarkt, there wasn't much to see in the gardens proper.

Even in winter this was a beautiful walk...go out the far gate and enjoy the beauty. The wall isn't accessible at this point so going outside and getting a few shots back at the wall and gate is great in addition there are wonderful views of the surrounding valley
