The first thing that came to my mind was the Babylon one. Surrounded by hills and a "Tor" as inlet, I started to think how exclusive was this garden at the old times. There a lack of flora variety, but it is possible to take a rest, see the hills and walk to continue discover the city after.

From here you have a beautiful view over the valley. This is where the Imperial Castle was until the earthquake of 1356. You can see the southern part of the city. The buildings in the valley are mainly water mills driven by the river’s water.

When the tourists swarm the city and you need a little place to rest in the shade and relax, this is the place. And there are nice views too.

Enjoyed a visit to this park, with nice views of the valley. Of course, my 10 year old had to use the bathroom and we found a nice one in this garden. It was hot out, but the shade was nice and we enjoyed a visit to this park/garden. Lots of pretty plants and flowers!

Well kept park within the town walls with great views of the surrounding countryside. Wonderful photo opportunities.

A small garden. Just go here just to get a view of the valley which is beautiful . There is also some memorials here. Also there is a small structure which was part of the original castle from 1100 s. This garden is currently where the castle was located in 12th century. A building which they say is a chapel... These gardens are beautiful. They offer lovely views of the medieval skyline. They are cool and relaxing. Great place for a picnic or scenic stroll.

It a great place to get away from the crowds of tourists. You can view the bridge if you don't feel like walking down. The valleys below are so peaceful looking. There are also views of the city and the walls you wouldn't see otherwise.

We stumbled access this small but delightful garden while strolling around Rothenburg. After passing through the castle outer gates (no castle left) it was a lovely oasis to sit and enjoy the views over the old town, also takes in the river and Tauber valley.

This isn't a very big garden, and I'm sure when the flowers are in bloom it is much prettier. I was there in October so I wasn't expecting much, that being said I was still pleasantly surprised by the views. I actually enjoyed the view from the walkways around the garden more than the gardens themselves. It would take no... More
