It a great place to get away from the crowds of tourists. You can view the bridge if you don't feel like walking down. The valleys below are so peaceful looking. There are also views of the city and the walls you wouldn't see otherwise.

We stumbled access this small but delightful garden while strolling around Rothenburg. After passing through the castle outer gates (no castle left) it was a lovely oasis to sit and enjoy the views over the old town, also takes in the river and Tauber valley.

This isn't a very big garden, and I'm sure when the flowers are in bloom it is much prettier. I was there in October so I wasn't expecting much, that being said I was still pleasantly surprised by the views. I actually enjoyed the view from the walkways around the garden more than the gardens themselves. It would take no... More

After meandering around the Old Town, we sat down here to rest. The ruins have signs describing what they once were. One has to use the imagination to feel what it was like then. The views of the surrounding countryside are very nice.

Stumbling upon the gardens just as the sun set was more than I could have asked for. It was by far the perfect time to look out at the our scenic surroundings and snap photos.

If you want to get away from the madness of the city inner walls, come to the gardens for a great view of the valley below. Very short walking distance to the Marktplatz but nice. Not one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen, but peaceful and a nice escape.

these gardens are worth the stroll! Even on a day of wretched visibility, the views of the countryside are beautiful, and the looks back at the towers and wall of the old town excellent. Within the garden itself there are several very interesting sites, ones you'd expect like memorials to early rulers, Frederick Barbarossa among them, but less expected ones... More

Yes, there is a view of the town walls, but unfortunately that's about it. This was the location of the town "castle", but that has been gone a very long time. There are some trees and grass, and the obligatory "holocaust" memorial that seems very out of place. Other than that it is a green space on the bluff overlooking... More

Went here in Autumn, very nice and the view is fantastic. If you want an escape from the tourists then grab something from the bakery and go to the Burg garden, only a short walk from the Markt platz

The garden didn't really impress me as there were not a lot of flowers. maybe because i went when it was almost autumn. the view of the town from there is nice but other than that, nothing really special to me.
