A great vantage point outside the walls to look up to the walled medival town both from the bridge, and away from it looking at it and the town a good down and up hike from the town, an easy drive on the way in or out of town. Gives you a great perspectiveof the town and its medieaval historical... More

Both my husband and I prefer to visit smaller towns because so much to be appreciated can be done on foot--we inquired into country walks at Tourist Information (near the Rathaus Square) and we were given a map and direction. We enjoyed the walk immensely--beautiful walk along the Tauber and through the vineyards!

The bridge stands the test of time and is a unique addition to the landscapes of the walled city. The abandoned church nearby adds to the mystery and character of the bridge. Worth the short hike down from Rothenburg.

A good calorie burner if you do the long walk down the cliffs to north, across the Tauber, then back down to this bridge. Cross back over her ethan hike back up to the old town. Bring your camera. The wal along the Tauber in the early AM is gorgeous.

this is an easy drive down to the bottom of the hill or a decent walk, but you must go here and see it and see the city form down here looking up. there is a stream and a beautiful house that makes you think of gingerbread houses at the holidays. it was raining but so what. there is also... More

It was a nice quiet walk down to the bridge. We enjoyed walking through the little houses and vinyards. You can see the bridge from the Burggarten if you don't feel like walking down (and back up) to the bridge.

We walked down to the bridge below the town during the morning. We walked down via a small track through the wines. It was beautiful. We walked back via the footpath- much quicker- which ended up in the spiral area of the town. It was also picturesque walking through the trees back to the town. The bridge itself is interesting.... It's a beautiful bridge, well restored in a fantastic setting. Imagine wagons full of merchant goods trundling across on their way up the hill to sell in town or back the other way bound for Rome, Prague, and Paris.

A nice picturesque view at this Medieval Double Bridge with the town of Rothenburg behind, worth stopping to take in the view.
