Getting to the bridge is a little hike, but DO IT. The view is the best of the castle. You can see how much they had to extend the bottom wall of the castle for it to sit level on the top of the mountain. If you're scared of heights, the bridge may be a bit frightening since it's quite... More

It is a must to go on Marienbrucke (Queen Mary's Bridge) and to admire the Neuschwanstein Castel from there. It is almost an unreal view of the castle. Just breathtaking! More

The bridge is fantastic with views of the castle, but the real treat is the side trail that follows along the river. It is a well defined trail with some stair and rails. Yes, there were a lot of people. But they can't stand between you and the castle while you're on the bridge, so you can easily get a photo like you're the only one there. The images you see online of this bridge HAVE to be taken in the winter or right when the sun comes up, because in those photos the bridge has only one human being on it.
