This is a little gem. Its only over 3 floors but there are a lot of toys, history and information in this space. As well as a fantastic area on the top floor for children to play. There are all manner of toys, puppets, books etc for kids to play as they please. There is a also a working model... More

There is a fantastic selection of toys spanning the years. The dolls’ houses are amazingly intricate. Great for kids, but also interesting for adults to see toys you grew up with. Included on the city museum ticket.

Much of our visit was spent reliving childhood pastimes as we spotted another game or model that we'd had as children; we were particularly interested in the metal vehicles and trains, but there was an excellent range of toys of all kinds to enjoy. Some of the displays were a tiny bit stuffy; we would have appreciated more interactive ones,... More

Any toy you might imagine is there; doll's houses I could only dream of in my childhood; trains that moove if you push a button; lots of old and very old toys. You can see any mechanical toy move on a touch-screen in every room.

I was expecting a large model railways section in this museum knowing that Nurnberg was hometown for various famous model train brands; I was however disappointed that there was only one panaroma and it was only operated once (and only for 2 hours) a month.

i have a child soul and the toy museum was the best thing i saw. the puppet houses were absolutely amazing, and the train big station was very interesting. I had an audio-guide so i listened the stories and that makes the visit more pleasant.

If you are looking for the child in you go to the Toy museum and you will not understand how the time passes by. Since Nuremberg is the toy manufacturing capital of Germany it has a wonderful collection of dollhouses, trains etc.

The visit to the toy museum was really amazing. As art and culture evolved over time, so did toys and it was very apparent in the way the exhibitions were put together. Here you also have a German attraction with a reasonable audio guide in English. Definately my highlight of Nuremberg

Nuremberg is famed for its toy making. The toy museum has lots to show and offer. Ideal to take children as there is a play area too. It is interesting for young and old, with train sets, bears and dolls houses on display. This museum can be perused slowly, or can be a quick visit. It was an enjoyable visit.
