In medieval times, it was the Catholics. Later, Hilter led the Nazi's in in humane treatment of Jews. Now it's ISIS. Do we ever learn? Tour was in German, but she did her best to speak some English at each location at end. The torture methods were brutal. 2 guards per prisoner - to make sure prisoner didn't commit suicide.... More

I went solo on this tour. German only, but you get the picture, and there is a card in English. Would be better if I spoke German. Prepare for tight spaces and creepiness.

medieval dungeon. We had a great guide and it didn't cost much. he talked about the jewish people and how they have been persecuted her for a very long time because they were the money lenders and when they went to collect sometimes the people couldn't pay and since they were powerful they could charge and kill the Jew who... Go to the old Rathaus just off the Platz in Nuremburg, Germany. For a small fee, you can join a tour spoken only in Germany. An English pamphlet is provided that seems to give the same information as the tour guide is giving. It is really a learning experience to know what happened to condemned prisoners from the 1300s to... More

I am a lover of creepy, and dungeons and prisons are some of my favorite places! This prison was fairly small, and although very interesting, if you have seen a dungeon before, you don't need to spend the 3,50 euros to take the tour. If you have not seen one before, DO IT! Its not in English, but as everyone... More

An awesome experience, unfortunately our guide was not interested in doing the tour. She rushed us through it in less than 10 minutes. It is a German tour, but they do offer pamphlets in English. It's pretty easy to figure out what the rooms were used for and the torture tools used. I wish we could have spent more time... More

Didn't go in there. The woman guide didn't want to except our museum card for the town Nuremberg, even though its a card from the town Nuremberg itself. Also extremely disinterested so we left.

Even though the guide spoke only German, some broken English, you are given a pamphlet in English which he points to. He does make an attempt to converse with you but you also have to make the effort with the guide. I enjoyed this tour along with the attempts to talk to the guide. He was very friendly. This was... Creepy place, and giving no good feeling. But that´s not what it is for. You can learn a lot about history, and all the time feel thankful, you´re born in another time - not like one of these unlucky ones, who were thrown, imprisoned and tortured there... Take a guided tour and give yourself some shivers...

My husband and I live about an hour from Nuremberg, so we have attempted twice now to go to this sight. The first time, a Saturday evening, it was closed and the second time it was open but we did not have enough people to go to see the torture exhibit. Very sad because this was one of my top... More
