The house is fascinating, and would be under any circulstances: the link to Durer is the cherry on the cake.

Small, there is almost nothing in it. I love paintings but I have seen much more original of those in Vienna when there was a Durer exhibition couple of years ago. I expected a well furnished house with a selection of paintings so I was really disappointed.
It is very interested museum-house. We could understand here as Durer lived and worked. The private information (about his family etc) is combined with data about his art and professional deals. Museum is very suitable for foreign tourists as has electrionic guide recorded by professional actors.
It is a small house/museum, the electronic guides however are almost 5 minutes for each of 6 locations visited so you spend minimum 30 minutes and get information on Albrecht Durer from the voice of his wife. Beware of low doorframes!!!
This house and the guided tour are an absolute must when visiting the city. This painter experienced so many society changes and influenced his century, met Erasmus, worked for the king, revolutioned the way they painted portraits at that time, was also a fond of astronomy and a gold handcrafter. Very impressive, I learnt a lot.

The guide dressed in period costume and explained life in the house from 'her' point of view. She told us about the local art scene and sales and how his painting and prints were made. Afterward, a local artist assisted us in making...

This is a quick tour and worth it. The audio tour is told from his wife's perspective who has an interesting story herself. It is a great way to get to know this painter and how things were done during this time.
Got a real sense of how Albrect Durer lived and worked, as well as what his home life was like. If you cannot join an English tour, get the audioguide, it will make your visit more worthwhile..
The guided tour by "Agnes Dürer" (an actress in costume) was absolutely delightful and offered great information about the everyday life of Dürer, his wife and everyone living in the house. The house is a couple of hundred years old and in great condition. Definetly have a look inside!
This tour is not going to blow you away but it is a neat experience to realize you are in the home of the famous Albrecht Durer during his last remaining years. The audio guide is good and is narrated by his "wife" as she recalls life in the house. The house contains replicas of his more famous works which...
