Wow, what a site from the platz located a short distance from Marienplatz. This yellow church rises above everything and with its vibrant colour dominates. The interior of the church is worth a quick visit, but its striking beauty is from the outside.

The Theatiner Church of St. Kajetan was built between 1663 - 1690 and was founded by Elector Ferdinand Maria and his wife as a gesture of gratitude for the birth of Prince Max Emanuel - heir of the Bavarian throne in 1662.
The church is built in Baroque style and is colored yellow on the outside.
We almost skipped walking...

This is one of the most impressive churches I've seen for a while. Pop in and enjoy the amazing plasterwork.
It's great that women are also represented in the work.
Definately recommend.

Brathtakingly beautifull, needed lots of eyes to see all. Spent a lot of time in this church. It is light and airy, lots of stucworks, many sidechapels. Must have costed a fortune! Lots of information at the infoboard. Would highly recommend to visit this one, do not miss out on this one.
