Very disappointed as today this garden was closed! After gathering all our information and making our way there to find the place closed. We had checked the dates on the brochure and Trip Adviser before taking the tram. We arrived to shut gates even though the sign at the entrance 'states' the garden should be open.

even in March, this was a beautiful place to be. the Spring bulbs were terrific. the glass houses are enormous and full of interesting plants - orchids, cacti, ferns etc etc. the restaurant is also very good. such a lot to see, at any time of year, and for a very reasonable entrance fee.

I went the Botanical Garden with my sister in late August. It was so beautiful. There's a lovely little cafe with a terrace with flower gardens. Very nice afternoon spent looking at all the plants and even some animals.

The Botanical Garden is a nice place to visit. One of the great sights are the beautiful tropical butterflies, which can be seen from January to March. The Botanical Garden houses a nice coffee and is located right next to Nymphenburg Castle.

GO AND VISIT THE BOTANICAL GARDENS!!! Seriously, it's the best 3-4 hour trip you can do if you have a morning/afternoon to spare in Munich! Walking through the HUGE outdoor gardens with fascinating trees and bushes from all over the world, you can hear your lungs screaming: THANK YOU FOR ALL THIS OXYGEN! Then you can smell about a million... More

My girlfriend and I visited the botanical gardens in December to find it full of tramps at 11.00am, including one urinating on a bush. Not quite what we expected, although there was a wide variety of tramps to look at.

When we were there in the begining of December, the cafe was closed due to some kind construction work, and it was too cold to really enjoy the outdoor part, so we could only visit the green house part and left for lunch somewhere else. It's a pity. :-(

There was a wide display of flowers in different garden settings. The Greenhouse was also a delightful place to visit. The colors during July were dazzling.
