I went to the botanical gardens for the first time last week, figuring it would be a good opportunity to practice my macro photography. I was blown away by how big and beautiful it is. Even in the dead of winter it is a spectacular place to visit. There is currently a butterfly exhibit in one of the dozen greenhouses,... More

Especially in winter, the warm and humid (some) greenhouses are a wonderful spot. Check out when the butterflies are there which is great! Of course, the Botanical Garden is very nice in summer too.

If you're loving nature, taking Pictures and enjoy the silence, you really can go there. Even on a rainy day, you can visit the Tropical House. And from January to February you can take pic from butterflies as well : )

I've been to many botanical gardens in many countries and this is one of my favourites. I loved the large glass house, particularly the section with the fish and terrapins. I also really liked the alpine 'hills' covered in flowers near the lake. A great place to sit soaking up the sun.

I toured the greenhouses, which have themed rooms based on regions of the world. There was also a butterfly show going on when I was there, which made for a great photography experience. I visited this place in the winter, so the outdoor areas were all brown and ugly. Visitors would probably get more out of this in spring or... More

We tumbled into the garden through a side gate from Schloss park, like Alice into the rabbit hole... Cosy and intimate little botanical garden, handy location next to Schloss Nymphenburg. Visit in December does not give a chance to a botanical garden to present its best but this one was charming still.

There are the outdoor gardens that are free and the green house that has a 4 euro ticket. When visiting the outdoor gardens in the winter you only get to enjoy the walk and the lake with ducks and squirrels. But in the greenhouse there are flowers and trees really beautiful and very well displayed.

The place is beautiful, but I visited it in Autumn, so most of the flowers were gone. Even so it has beautiful constructions and vegetation, it's worth a visit. I didn't get inside the greenhouse, since I didn't have the time. One nice thing about visiting it in Autumn is that they put some funny Halloween pumpkins!

It looks out to be a nice garden, but the timing should be correct. If you visit during winter then it is utter waste as I did. Everything around looks to be dry. Many plants were dry almost 90℅ of them during this period.

The glass houses are a must do and the Flora within them - diverse! The gardens outside are gorgeous... they transpost you to a magical place of tranquility - where you can forget the world outside! The restaurant is excellent - so all together a wonderful day out :) Note: Parking is not easy to find - as the lot... More
