We spent around one hour walking around and found nothing exciting. Everything was green and calm. The kids got bored fast specially my 3 years old daughter. We paid 3 euro for children and 5 euro for adults. Had lunch at the garden cafe which was very expensive with average food.

It was pouring with rain when I was there but the gardens were still very interesting and you could get into the relative dry of the large palm house with its different types of plant in separate houses - look of r the water lilies!

I visited Munich 2X-when I was 21 and again at 30 when I attended the Free University of Munich 4 a month to earn a Ukrainian Program Teaching Certificate-it's one of the cleanest cities I have seen, especially the efficient subways-you had to be ahead of time or you missed it! I didn't speak German, but English was common, although... More

The alpine section here put my little rockery at home to shame! An absolutely stunning display. The café in the garden was brilliant too with reasonably priced snacks and meals in a beautiful setting.

The garden is like you would expect it to be. A whole bunch of plants, exotic stuff that you normally dont get to see but nothing special really. I have no idea why we paid to get in, because you can just walk through the whole thing whenever you want. Not at one point were asked for our tickets, so... More

There are two Botanical Gardens in Munich; one, the 'Alt' Garden, is a small and neglected park in the city centre, the other is a large park with hothouses, formal and informal gardens and an excellent café, next to Schloss Nymphenburg. It's easily reached by tram and is well worth a day; take comfortable shoes and a picnic, or enjoy... More

The garden was beautiful and the food/beer at the biergarten was amazing! Great place to watch the World Cup games!

Extended grounds, gardens and greenhouses topped off with a nice restaurant. I especially enjoyed the cactus greenhouse and the world Alpen garden. If staying in Munich, I would advise renting a bike and visiting here, making a day of it. Don't try to combine with Nymphenburg Palace, there is too much to see and a little too similar (plants/wandering/restaurant) but... More

I have been into a botanical garden before, and I am so glad that this garden was my first. It is a huge place and it is full with flowers and plants from all over the place. The organisation was breathtaking and the colors were amazing. I highly recommed it if you are in Munich. The tram or bus will... More
