Plenty of animals to see, a great day out, but if you want the best try Berlin's Tierpark, it is world-class. Reasonable for food and snacks. The animals are well cared for and well displayed. It is a sizeable place so it takes some time to get around.

Very nice place to spend the afternoon. Lots of shade and display from all around the world. The Bat Cave was amazing, just be prepared for the little critters to be flying around you. Also, bring Euros, they only take debit cards or cash for entry fee and food

It is a normal zoo, very good to take children. I went there with two friends but it was not a impressive place. Some animals caught our attention like the polar bears, the penguins and the monkeys. It is cool that in some especific hours the staff of the zoo feed the animals and you can watch it. It is... More

Amazing place for those who are interested in animals and their life, wish I could live closer to it... be sure to check for special events on their website, like Elephants show.

Easily accessible from the U-Bahn (10 minute walk), this isn't the biggest zoo, but it is certainly the most peaceful one I've visited. The entrance fee is very reasonable at only €14 for an adult, and the animals looked to be very well looked after in large enclosures, which were mostly bounded by moats rather than fences. My girlfriend and... More

A enjoyable and interesting day out while visiting Munich. Easy access via underground train (U2). Easy walking distance over river bridge. Flat walking around the zoo park. Paid 10 euro for senior ticket, very good value. Food/drinks outlets numerous and a little pricey but not excessive. Overall recommend a visit on a sunny day, allow at least 4 hours. Watch... More

A very nice park, to some extend civilized (you get a map :)), to some extend wild and.. wild. A really good place to go with kids or with friends with kids. Don't miss a very nich sea life exhibition in the lower level of an aquarium-building. Check for tge feeding hours of animals. Eat and let kids play in... More

Putting it in a nutshell, this is one of the most beautiful and animal-friendly zoos worldwide. Well laid out, with something for the whole family and definitely a Highlight of the City of Munich. Don't miss it!

Nicest zoo that I have seen. All of the animals were active, and appeared to be healthy, and vibrant. I liked how the natural water source flowed through the park, making it feel more... natural. It was a lovely side trip on our vacation in Munich.
