Quite friendly environment for animals, multiple play areas for kids, elephants enclosure still under construction. However, many parts& facilities closed during winter times (much more than in Vienna or in Amsterdam), excellent visiting time starting Spring

I love zoos therefore this place was already on my list to visit while in Munich. It turned out to be a huge disappointment due to entry fees policy. Few tips for those who want to visit: 1.U3 line will take quite fast and easy from city centre 2.Short walk and you'll find yourself in beautiful peaceful surroundings 3.TAKE CASH... More

While in Germany for Oktoberfest we ventured through Munich and walked to the zoo. The Zoo was huge a was filled with every type of animal we were highly impressed by the vast variety of animals and the beautiful scenery around. If you have a family or you are out with friends I recommend this Zoo for a wild day... More

At 89 acres this zoo is plenty big - modern and well-kept. It had been snowing for four days when we visited and we had a very enjoyable time even though some of the exhibits were closed because of the snow. The gorillas were implacable. Only one young one. There were plenty of antelope but the giraffe were in hiding.... More

I've been to quite a lot of zoos around the world and this one rates with some of the best! We went on the 8th of January - it was cold and quite snowy which made it very picturesque! Vast amount of animals, and we were under time constraints to catch a flight so didn't even quite manage round the... More

First time to this zoo and had my 9 and 10 year old boys with. It had started to snow already and that turned the zoo into a winter wonderland. It was amazing and the family had a fantastic day out. Best zoo that I have been too.

We went January and for this reason we have not sperical opinion because everything was covered by snow. Nevertheless most animals was there and we enjoyed as we can. The only bad spot was the price. The management could be reduce the price the winter months because the walk on account of weather was too short. 14e was much money.....

We visited the zoo on a rainy day so we had nearly the whole place to ourselves. There were a lot of animals to see and a lot different animals you wouldn't find in a lot of zoo's. The most impressive attraction was the baby twin polar bears , very cute and playful animals. The zoo is well maintained and... More

The zoo was pretty well run with the animals well-taken care of. Signs showing directions were clear, although many food shops were closed when we visited on Christmas Day, save for one food shop. It wasn't crowded at all so we took our time looking at the animals. Recommended if you have about 3-4 hours to spare in Munich and... More
