It was a pleasure to walk around in a very well maintained zoo and to see many different animals. Very impressive was the bat cave there, never ever had an experience like that before. Can recommend this fantastic place not only to families.

This was one of the best zoos in the world. You can barely see the fences, therefor you can see the animals almost in their natural habitant.

Growing up in Munich this zoo has been a part of my life. Over the years I visited many zoos around the world but I always feel the need to come back to this one simply because it really is a great place with charming features. Being the first zoo in Germany mapping the animals according to their continents in... More

Really lovely natural setting for a zoo. I think some of the enclosures could have been bigger for some of the animals though.

Really good visit to Munich Zoo. They don't take foreign cards, so be prepared with cash before you go. Otherwise, it was great. Animals had large enclosures (which I always like to see - nothing worse than animals shut in a tiny cage) and was a good variety. Reasonably priced, well laid out. A good day out for young or... The Hellabrunn zoo is easily accessible by public transport. There's plenty to see but in retrospect, I'd recommend planning a route after entering the zoo. I made numerous long stops because snack times with the children, playground visits etc. and at the end of my visit I felt as though I needed to zoom past animals' enclosures. The zoo gave... More

Spent a sunny day on October here with kids. Animals looked well - being and the caves were spacious and clean. Also the animals had fresh food and fruit to eat. We were there for about 4 hours and didn't see the whole park, so it's good to take your time :) good connections with u - Bahn 3.

Long walk with beautifully created landscapes watching animals, birds and fishes. Grab a drink and some snacks near the Flamingo park and enjoy while watching the stream and Famingos.Aquarium should not be missed. Sharks, Jelly fishes and many more! However, if you are not travelling as a group, the entry fee is a bit pricey.

if you need to run away a little bit from the city that is the perfect place to go. So big variety of animals, so much place for kids to have fun.
