My little sister (2 years old) and brother (8 years old) enjoyed this zoo more than any zoo we've ever been to, the petting area was the most enjoyable to all of us. There's machines with food for the animals so you can feed them. There's cafés and delicious restaurants all over the zoo. There's play areas which was really... More

Second visit to munich zoo. Good value, great layout, must see is the polar bears of course. Like most zoos in German cities we have visited the option to chill out have a rest/beer/snack is frequent making it a great way of spending a relaxing half a day. Highly recommended for families.

A fine Zoo park, with everything you expect of a Zoo. Most Places the explanations where in German and English, some places only in German, wich made it difficult to get the right understanding. We spend a Whole day in the park, only leaving because the kids got tired. It is Clean and nice, and very easy to find your... More

We had a fabulous family day out at the Tierpark Hellabrunn. It was easy to get to using the u-bahn from Central Munich and our 5 year old daughter loved it. We particularly enjoyed the polar bears, giraffes and elephants as well as the large collection of primates. Cannot recommend highly enough with plenty of eating options and a very... More

Very nice parklike setting, many young animals. Especially beautiful is the ape-area. Must visit, when you're in Munich. Very good cakes too.

This is one of the best "Tierparks" in Germany. The animals live in a clean environment and everything is set perfectly just like in pure nature...

For tourists who don't have a car it is easily accessible by bus which leaves you outside the entrance of the Zoo.The bus station is in Marienplatz near the central train station.A huge area with many species to see but wondering around was difficult due to cold weather. Most recreational places were closed but I imagine that in summer time... More

I visited the zoo with three children in August 2014. We stayed five hours and still didn't manage to see everything. It cost 17 euros for myself and one child. The under three year old got in for free. There is an amazing variety of animals - we saw elephants, giraffes, lions, leopard, tiger, brown bear, sealions, monkeys, orang utans,... More

Animals shouldn't be caged. They are no attraction to pay for! Supporting this location having penguins and icebears on display in a 35+ degree summer is simply a crime against nature!

This zoo is perfect for kids, not too big, not too small so kids don't feel bored or overwhelmed. Good selection of animals who are well placed and are easy to see and observe. There is also a nice cafe on premises that has the usual german food fair: sausages, potatoes, beer, kids choices are available too as well as... More
