Afternoon trip to the zoo on the bank of the River Isar so wasn't very crowded. Think we paid maybe 15 euro entrance fee. Great penguin display. They have a real batcave with bats flying around unrestrained inside. Lots of great apes displayed, spacious enclosures for the big carnivores and herbivores. Interesting how they've irrigated with water from the Isar... More

Very nice and interesting place, numerous breeds of every animal, big walking area, beautiful nature, great playground for children! It is good to see shows of animal feeding, and take a part in it :) We enjoyed as well as last time (two years ago) in this Zoo! And this is not the end, we coming back again ...

Munich zoo used to be one of the world's premier zoos with its lack of cages and moats everywhere. The zoo is now showing its age, but there is some investment going into revamping the attractions. The beer garden with kid's playground is great.

Its a big zoo with numerous breeds of every animal. A place to spend your day away from city crowds in a peaceful environment. If you have any plans to visit the zoo, I would suggest you to visit the zoo's official website and check for feeding/show timings. I did the same and loved to see feeding the penguins, pigeons,... The Munich Zoo is really great experience, and you can easily spend half a day there. There are many animals and I recommend to use the map not to miss any show. i enjoyed the lions, the bears, the extremely nice monkey pavilion, the sea lions, the aquarium (don't miss it!!!) and more. Very easy to get there with the... More

Great place to take a walk on a clear sunny day. Lots of animals and nice river running through the middle of it. The Polar Bears were great.

One of the best zoo I have ever been to. The animals are cared for, and the zoo is very clean. There are many different cafes however some of them were closed because of the winter season. There are some 'walk in' parts where you can have a closer look at some birds and animals. The place is easy to... More

Best Zoo in the world I could say or see. There are many animals present in this zoo and this is really a kind of tour with children or kids to show & explore different animals to them. As a parents you can teach them about the animal behavior etc. If you are a photographer, then really you get many... More
