Every time I visit another country I need to go to the zoo. I love animals and I want to see where they are being kept and it what circumstances. This zoo is so amazing. It's very big so plan to spend at least hours there. The ground itself it full of nature. The animals are being kept in a... More

I love their latest advertising with "Mama...have you seen this bull" and you see a Rhino. Generally I hate large animals being put into a zoo

Beautiful grounds, an enormous variety of animal species, an obviously successful breeding program, with many endangered species breeding well, lots of well priced food outlets, well situated toilet facilities and lots of excellent messages on conservation, all be it in German, all make this a must visit place if, like us, you are zoo afficiandos. We spent nearly 8 hours... More

This is a great place to bring family and if you want to see something different during your time in Munich. Its normal as far as Zoos go, however it does have a cool 'feeding pit' for kids with lots of baby animals.

This is one of my favorite zoos. The exhibits are designed in a way that you feel closer to the animals and get a clear view of them. The habitats themselves appear spacious and the animals appear well kept. There is a lovely mix of beer gardens throughout the zoo and even some very quiet walking paths. Perfect for a... More

Accessible by the underground this is a convenient and fun attraction. I generally do not like zoos (for all the obvious reasons) but I took my nephews there and they loved it. The cages are very large, the space itself is like a park, very natural looking and there are lots of places to stop or drinks along the way.

We took our 5 year old for a day out and she loved it, most encloses are well thought out and well kept. The animals look healthy and all the favourites are there, Elephants, Lions, Gorillas etc.. The entrance fee is quite well priced and the car park was only 4 Euros for the day which is pretty good. My... More

very nice park. lots of nice and exotic animals. loved the fact that the fences were not visible and it feels like we are walking through the woods very closed to the animals. nice playground inside the park. loved the giraffe and the polar bears.

It is the second zoo I visit in Germany and I am amazed again. There are interesting and amusing things behind every corner, different shows are going on trough out the day. There are many places for the kids to play. I strongly recommend you to plan the entire day just for the zoo as it is a lot to... More

I am always a bit nervous about visiting a zoo in a new city because some don't come up to standard in terms of animal care. But this zoo is a delight! The animals are well cared for and the zoo is well maintained. There is a goat petting zoo - heaven and a wonderful sea life are, including penguins,... More
