Just past Odeonplatz this area is the best chill out/picnic area to pass the time. After a few hours of walking we chilled on the grass with some drinks under the sunshine people watching. Very nice place.

There is not much activity here but this is a beautiful little garden for sitting or chatting with friends. Definitely not as big as the English Garden but delightfulin its own way. It is a uiet little garden flanked by cafes in the day amd a good place for reading a book or taking a rest after walking.

The Hofgarten is the backyard of the Wittlesbachs. A beautiful lawn and paths with a gigantic pavillion in the center. Excellent photo-op with Theatinerkirche or the Residenz in the background. Also included on Mike's Bike Tours (Deluxe).

This is a lovely little garden in the center of Munic, located between the Munich residence and the Odeons Place. The easiest way is to enter the garden from Ludwigstrasse, which also has a stop for some to the tourist busses. Many benches invite you to take a rest and enjoy a snack. You can stroll through an alley of... More

Hofgarten is very close to Max-Joseph Platz and Odeonplatz and is definitely worth a stroll. Beautiful trees, cozy alleys, fountains and views of architectural landmarks surrounding the park.

I came here accidentally as I was leaving the English Garden. It was a nice hidden garden with beautifully landscaped formal garden.

I went here by the chance while walking to English garden, because I did not know that there are nice park hide long street house. That was a amazing park with lovely flower and quiet atmosphere. I was so lucky when saw it in nice season, so beautiful flower and good view there. I think that is perfect for short... More

This is a lovely and beautiful park, located next to the Residenz. There were a whole lot of food stands in the park when we visited it, and the atmosphere was very nice. Don't miss a short walk to the park's center and take a look at the lovely gazebo.

I highly recommend this park for a number of reasons. 1- No one tells you it is there behind a high gated wall at Odeonspaltz and offers a beer garden and a fine restaurant tucked away in the corner. 2 - It is well decorated with its flower beds made up of marigolds, local people picnicking, dance groups performing under... It’s much smaller than its ‘big sister’ the English Garden. However, this is a lovely little park for a relaxing break during a tour of Munich. There are some interesting buildings and including the ‘Dianatempel’ Temple of Diana in the centre. Wander around the well-kept gardens or pop into one of the cafes at the edges for a bit of... More
