We (family of 4 with 2 kids: 2.5 and 4 years) went to Bavaria studios during our recent tour to Germany. As we did not know exactly our way, took a taxi and the driver was not certain where to go. I guess because of the cool and humid weather there were only a handful visitors - our tour was... More

We visited the Bavaria Filmstadt on a summer weekend. First we thought that there would be long queues but then we could purchase our tickets quite quickly. It is true that they are not cheap; our family with two adults and three children spent almost 100 Euros on it. But it was quite entertaining: first we visited the Bullyversum, where... More

Die geführte Tour mit dem Guide war informativ und unterhaltsam - insgesamt sehr gut. The Bavaria Film Studio was an interesting day - the guided tour was informative and presented in an interesting and humorous format. The 4D film was highly entertaining, as were the Hui Buh and Traumschiff Surprise presentations. All in all an experience to recommend! Wir waren... More

I loved it, it's a must-see for a movie freak! Of course you have to understand German, otherwise it's not interesting. I was there 2009, so there was another programme I'd like to see the new one

We signed up for the hour and half tour so we could see Falcor from the Neverending Story. We score majorly with a great tour guide (Florian)-and a fairly small group- and had a blast even though we didn't know many of the other films/shows shot there. There's plenty of funny exercises that engage people of all ages - and... More

When people think of movie studios, most people think of Hollywood. However, Germany has a big time movie studio as well, the Bavaria FilmStadt. Granted, most of the movies and shows they produce are for German audiences, but they did have a huge American hit in the 80's, "The Neverending Story". That alone was reason enough for us to visit.... More

We visited because one member of the group is a great fan of Sturm der Liebe which is shot on location. The series can be followed on an Italian private TV station in Italian. If you have been to other film studios in the US please do not do not bother to visit. The studios offer a tour through a... More

I only did the guided tour in English for 11 Euro. For a smaller scale film studio, they do a good job of providing interesting things to see, especially sets from actual (mostly German) films and audience interaction. Tour members have the opportunity to act out an old-fashioned police car chase and if there is a German speaker on the... More

I read everything I could find before our trip, trying to decide if this was worth it. In the end, I can't settle the issue for you. The bottom line for me is this: If you are familiar with their films, you would likely find this interesting, even enjoyable. If not, I can see how this tour just feels like... More
