What a beautiful way to spend the day, everyone eating, drinking laughing and talking together. The band played in the pagoda,, the sun shone, and all nationalities seemed to enjoy it. Food is excellent in particular the mackerel stall, but plenty of choice if you don't like fish. The beer is cold & plentiful, with something for everyone, but the... More

You need more than a day to explore the Garden. Around the Garden there is a lot of free spaces to park but you have to find the right side of the Garden.

Perfect for a chill-out stroll. Lots of sports going on, including wave-surfing on a small weir. Pleasant park with fine buffet \ beer garden in the middle (by the pagoda). Beuatiful sunny day and nice clean park with nobody hassling you for anything. Had a beer and then found a tree to snooze against Easy walk back into town.

This is a must-do in Munich. It's the world's largest public inner-city park. On a nice, sunny day, this place is filled with locals sunbathing, picnicing, and relaxing on the lovely grounds. We rode bikes on the wide bike paths. There is rushing stream that runs through the park with small waterfalls and lovely bridges....despite the freezing water, many people... More

There is a lot to see and fantastic people watching here. You can even find people surfing the canals on traditional surf boards. This is a nice place to walk through or relax and spend some time in while in Munchen.

Went to this beer garden while on Mike's Bike Tour. (Two thumbs up!) I was amazed at the variety of food available. (I don't know why I just thought it would only be brats.) I must keep to a gluten-free diet (Celiac disease), so I had the roasted rolled pork with fried potatoes. It was tremendous! (They also served brats,... More

Went to this huge park in the depths of Winter in Munich. It was amazing to see this huge expanse of green parkland covered in a clean powder of white snow. Amazing park even in winter, would be fantastic in spring and summer.

Doesn't mater if you are more of a building, architecture, museum kind of a humanoid the Englischer Garten is a must when you come to Munich in summer. It is huge, and when i say huge (guide books say it is the largest city park in Europe) i mean really big! And there is a lot to do- you can... More
