So much better than New York or any other large city I've been to. Safe to walk and bike through all of Munich

Beautiful part of Munich and a great place for a stroll although try not to get lost as it massive (bigger than Central Park). Must try the bier/food garden near the Chinese tower.

a huge piece of green land full of old trees make it so romantic plus the beutiful ducks, swans snd other birds.. you can sit, walk, jog, ride a bycicle, or even ride a horse.. whatever the activity you wanna do, it fits for that. the bus station just outside the garden behind the open cafes and decks where the... The garden is huge with lots of different paths to follow. Everywhere you look is green grass and little rivers and small lakes. It has benches along the way where you can sit whenever tired, as well as a bier garden in the center of it. The atmosphere is relaxing and is a great place for a stroll.

Great place to get away from it all in a quiet garden with miles of winding trails. Even on a mild spring afternoon with the garden hosting picnics and football, one can forget the madness of the city center and enjoy the pleasant, open surroundings.

It was Christmas time so it was cold no flowers but still very beautiful and peaceful. It is vast and you could easily spend hours there, it would be simply amazing in the Summer. There was of course a Christmas market which was very pleasant. There appears to be lots to do and well worth visiting.

This park is huge! The day we strolled through the park there were many people observing the recent Northern hemisphere solar eclipse as well as joggers, bicyclists, horse riders, dog owners, yoga classes and picnickers. The park has more than enough room for everyone! What a great way to observe an eclipse, with a beer at the biergarten at the... More

Go to the surfers wave in the park. It's on a tiny river, but these guys literally surf on these waves. So cool to see. Beautiful at sunset.

I visited in December and saw the Christmas market at the Chinese Tower. While the weather was bleak, and I had the wrong footwear/clothes (probably best not to visit in winter with a suit and work shoes on), the park is enormous and great to explore/run if you have the time and equipment. Not sure about food options usually but... More

This place is huge! Lots of lovely scenery to see and places to explore. The flowers and vast open parks are a must see in Munich. We were very lucky to go when it was nice and sunny but also very quiet and peaceful. Totally worth a visit even if you don't have time to explore the entire thing. There's... More
