Excellent place to cycle. Make sure to visit the beer garden as sitting there with German beer and pretzels is heaven.

Always looking for a break with the kids (10, 8 and 4 years) we took some time to explore these gardens which are huge. Even in winter there is plenty of interest - from the surfers on the canal/river at one interest, to the ducks and numerous dogs being exercised. Also playgrounds for the kids. Grab a bike for easier... More

The English Garden used to be one of the biggest city parcs. A must see are the river surfers close to the "Haus der Kunst".

Even in November and in the biiter cold it was beautiful to walk and listen to the flowing river or explore the historic buildings. You often see river surfers here, even in the middle... More

Loved it here....very similar to Central park in New York. Lovely walks and great to stroll around away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Great for dog lovers living here

A vast stretch of greenery came as a nice change to the hustle and bustle of the city. I could have spent hours exploring the historical buildings in this area but chose to walk by the fast flowing river. It was December so the garden wasn't in flower and the leaves had dropped from the trees but it was intrigued... More

The christmas market here, was well worth a visit, it was a short tram ride from the city centre, but a well set out market, with some lovely stalls and lots of local foods to try.

There were some lovely Christmas market stalls near the Chinese pavilion in the gardens. But it was worth walking around for the beautiful views alone.
