Choice of restaurants, lots of beautiful trees, a lake with paddle boats to hire. A great place to jog or cycle.

What a great city centre park. It's right up there with the most iconic city parks in the world.....Central Park, Hyde Park, etc. Hire a bike and spend a few hours exploring, have a cold beer and lie out in the sun before checking out the surfers. There's something very special about this place, don't visit Munich without spending some... More

I visit there seversl time. Forest area and huge. You can stay whole day and reading book or watch people who do sport. There is open-air restaurant and you can take Bavarian Britzhel and Bavarian beer. Air is fresh and beer are fresh. I strogly suggest to see there.

This park is very busy in the summer with many hiking and eating options. Very large so be sure to do some exploring on a map before. Great beer garden at the Chinese Tower or Chinesischer Turm.

Visited as part of Mike's Bike Tour, really beautiful garden that's rich with culture and lots of people. Be warned -- there are lots of nudists! But the relaxing feeing of the place and the beautiful river takes over this aspect. We swam in the ice-cold stream and had the most amazing time. Visit visit visit!

Visited on two occasions once to imbibe copious amounts of beer the second to chillax following the copious amounts of beer. The beer is good and self service fast. I tried the pork knuckle and although a bit dry was very tasty. Fast turnaround as well in clean toilets.the clean. It is a massive place and on a sunny day... More

Huge flat park perfect for a jog after all the beer and brat wurst. Very safe and well maintain tracks shared with walker and bicycles. Easy to follow maps for directions are located throughout the park. Bring some coins just in case you need the restrooms by the Chinese Pagoda. The only unique, one of a kind attraction was surfers... More

This park is really big, we only walked through a part of it. There are a number of small streams with little waterfalls that are very pretty. The landscape is partly wooded but with large open fields. This is Munichs Hyde Park or Central Park.

The weather was superbe when we were in Munich and the English Gardens provided us with shade from the sun and a few german brews to boot! Although you can drink in public in Germany, it is well worth your while to go to the beer garden and enjoy the atmosphere on a sunny day!
