Unbelievable experience in the heart of the hassle and bustle of this Cosmopolitan City You feel the freshness of the grass, and safe to walk around. We went there on a sunny Sunday morning, and the garden was full is families with children

Be sure to visit the English Garten when in Munich. A must see are the surfers, you can find them at the park entrance opposite Wagmüllerstraße, well worth it. We had a great walk through the lovely park and stopped for currywürst and a beer whilst listening to the live music. Really enjoyable afternoon.

Beautiful park with canals and streams and people enjoying the outdoors(even surfing). A bonus is the huge beer garden behind the Chinese Tor.

I spent a lazy sunny afternoon here and absolutely loved it. The park is large and offers plenty with shaded woodlands to wonder through, beer garden to meet friends or a river that you can relax by with your feet in the water. I would recommend time here above any other place in Munich, unless Oktoberfest is running. Just be... More

Interesting to watch the surfers on the river wave. We would have never been able to see the whole Park without him. There... More

Liked the quiet walk around the garden. The English garden is quite big so wear comfortable walking shoes. Enjoyed the beer garden near to the Chinese Tower. To get to the English Garden take the local transport to Giselastrasse.

A nice quite garden, still bustling with activity of the locals playing frisbee, excercising or just chilling with family and friends. You can carry a bottle of beer from one of the shops at the entrance of the park (you can redeem your washroom ticket's cost if you used the washroom, ask!). But do definitely go to the Chinese Palace... More

In the last eight years visiting our family living in Munich during the Holidays, a trip is not complete without a visit to the English Gardens. The snow always continues to fall and covers everything in white. Many craftman's booths display beautiful handcrafted jewelry, ornaments for your tanenbaum (Christmas tree) and front door wreaths, hand-knitted warming scarves, mittens and hats,... More
