If you want to run or take a walk, this is the place to go. Tons of trails and plenty of places to wander and admire nature. Hit the bathroom in advance in the winter time, all of the WC's that I checked out were closed, but otherwise, it was a great place to relax.

A park not to be missed in Munich. A huge green space where you can do lots of things. It has a little forest, a lake, a river, a beer garden. Simply awesome, and in the middle of the city!

My fiance and I visited the Englischer garden during a trip in June of 2011, we had three days in Munich and spent part of each day here, getting food at the biergartens, or just wandering around the pathways through the park. Take an evening and sit in one of the large grassy spaces and see all the people relaxing.... More

I visit this garden both in summer and winter and I love it. Anyway, green or white is a marvelous place to spent a morning or an afternoon. I strongly recommend to visit it to everyone who stay at Munich.

Great place, its big. Eating places with bars are dotted around too. Easy to get to. Public transport is often, and easy to work out.

This is a great park to visit to burn off some of the fat that a Munich diet of beer and pork helps to pile on. The park is big and there are myriad paths that wind through it as well as a couple of follies and a lake that are all worth strolling to have a look at. The... More

Strolling through English Garden in January is pleasant. The garden is well-kept. I enjoyed listening to podcasts and looking at the green grass and majestic trees. The garden never feels completely empty and thus not scary. You are bound to come accross families with kids, joggers, horses, polite dogs and lots of birds. Signs, maps and benches are plentyful but... More
