I was very pleased that i did that walk through the English park. Its very beautiful to have such a wonderful park in the middle of a big city like Munich. After a nice walk we arrived in Beergarden and I enjoyed the best Bavarian lunch under the sun.

Not far from town, take a stroll and enjoy a nature walk. According to the locals is bigger than Central Park.

The English Garden is so beautiful and there are quite a few things to do there. I could definitely spend days just walking around, absolute must sees are the Chinese Tower and the surfers.

Travelling around Europe alone for a little while, everyone recommended that I visit the Englischer Gardens. The park would be great for a long, romantic walk on a sunny day. Seeing it solo, in pretty cold weather, not so much. For a solo backpacker trying to see a lot in a short amount of time, I would say this is... More

The English Garden was a nice walk, however it is lacking in landscaping. It's a very natural space and not easy to navigate. However I did manage to find the Chinese tower beer garden (worth visiting) and the Japanese tea house.

We went on a sunny day and it was a perfect way to finish our trip to Munich. Make sure you watch the surfers, see the Japanese tea house and have a wurst and lager at the Chinese tower beer garden.

The English Gardens are about double the size of Central Park from what I have read… theres lakes, rivers, gardens, plenty of benches and trees, and BEER! Staying true to the beer capital, the Chinese temple points way to the fabulous outdoor beer garden. As long as you are not there in March or April, I'm sure the construction will... More
