Its a big grassy park area.

Big grassy park area with walkways, trees, water and some flowers. I guess if you're from the city, its more exciting.

Beautiful park in the centre of town - Lovely place to take a walk when the suns out - find the Chinese Tower and have a beer and a half roast chicken with the sound of traditional Bavarian music. Great play areas for the children too. A must when you're in Munich

The guide books aren't lying when they say this park is bigger than Hyde and Central Parks. You could easily spend a day exploring all the different sites and due to the scarcity of the maps I almost did. Even so it is a lovely green space to visit even on a wet day. Would recommend a visit to the... More

Great place for a walk, and to give your lungs a feel of clean air. The north part and south part are connected by an overbridge. You can spend a few months on the bridge, watching the cars whooosh past :) Make sure you have a lot of time, because this place is simply huge ! You can watch river... More

We enjoyed walking through the area (and so did the locals - many of the green areas had a lot of happy Germans enjoying the sun). Make sure to visit the beer garden at Chinese Turm.

This garden has a gorgeous pavilion and is the green heart of Munich, grassy knoll; follies and winding brook. Ideal for excercising; walking; jogging etc. Beware of unhibited german sunbathers in summer!

An enjoyable experience from watching the surfers, to strolling the paths to relaxing while my kids played in the playgrounds. The bier garden was great, with clean restrooms and very tasty food.
