This was a beautiful park, lots of places to walk. The English Garden open air beer garden was a good place to sit and people watch. We did not realise that the park was open to all which included nudism, a first for us!!

Lovely place to go throw a frisky or kick a football around. Go watch the surfing at the end of the river!

This garden took us by surprise with its size, variety and so many places that made us want to stay longer. It was filled with families (even during the week) wherever you went, kids kicking the ball, ducks and birds on the lake, and a wonderful beer garden right next to the lake. One of the great pluses was that... More

What a treat this park provides - an oasis of peace and nature away from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Munich. Consider a bike or segway to explore as much of the park as possible. As other reviews, there is an excellent biergarten by the Chinese temple with all sorts of food selection. The park, the largest... More

Definitely worth a visit. Very scenic park, walk to the middle to find a restaurant and bar with local Munich Bratwurst and Beer!

A very nice garden to have a walk. You can chose quiet path or bigger alley. There's also a place to eat in the middle of the park.

If you're in Munich for more than a layover, you need to go to the Englischer Gardens. Beautiful public park, German surfers, art, and Beer gardens. What more do you need?!

The park is HUGE! it has very positive vibes. If you're lucky enough to go on a sunny day, you can just lay down and relax on the grass, you can make your way to the Chinese tower and grab something to eat/drink, you can go for a jog or a bike tour. It was a highlight for us in... More

A huge expanse of gardens with a fantastic beer garden and freshly cooked food available to purchase. We spent a lovely afternoon walking and then watching surfers on the river! Amazing!

A lovely place to walk, jog, or cycle with miles of trails (the park is 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles in length and covers a total area of 373 hectares or 922 acres) and more than one beer garden to quench your taste! Or you can find a quiet nook to sit and enjoy the beauty of nature here. There... More
