This was a wonderful place to explore. We strolled along the wooded paths, watched world class river surfers conquer the icy stream of Eisbach, took pictures at the Monopteros, and visited the Chinese Tower Beer Garden... The weather was still chilly when we went, so the ambience at the beer garden was not as great as we'd like (compared to... More

A nice quiet oasis in the centre of Munich. Although only there for the weekend found it easy to go jogging in the park each day. On Sunday there was a craft market that was peaceful to wander about.

The young people surfing on the river is a cool thing to see! Otherwise, it's a large public park. We weren't in the nudist area - which seems to generate a lot of talk.

Great place to relax, eat, drink, swim and watch the surfers. The river is pumped which is great fun to jump into and go for a ride downstream!

The southern part of the park is where most of the action is. I recommend renting a bike to explore the park properly. A lot of biergartens, a lot of sunbathing. Very relaxing way to spend time in Munich. I don't even know why I am reviewing this. If you are in Munich, you are going here at the very... More

My friends and I went here with some expectations, with it being one of the top-rated and mostly-visited places in Munich. However to us this place is indeed very big with lots of trees, but apart from that it is not that special. Maybe there is a Chinese Pagoda in the park but since we are all Chinese, we didn't... A stunningly beautiful, relaxing place. We spent a couple of hours here just soaking in the serenity and views. Would certainly love to return.

We had to check out of our hotel and had an evening flight, so we decided to take a picnic to the garden. We took the metro to the university and walked to one of the entrances. We ended up straight at the Chinese Tower and instead of a picnic, ended up having a meal and drinks in the beer... More

At any time of the year it is well worth a visit. Good for food summer or winter. In the snow it is just out of this world. The Japanese garden and Turm is well worth a visit.
