We went here after several of Ludwig's castles and were obviously disappointed. The castle tours are informative and interesting, just long enough for the average attention span. This place is huge and the audio guide is too detailed for the average tourist's level of interest. The treasury section was more enjoyable. more

I was misled by the guide book into thinking that the Residenz stays open till 8 pm on Thursdays. It doesn't.
