Before I left the city of Munich, the chance of visiting this beautiful castle is worth the freezing winter cold. Clad in winter jacket with an aching feet brought about by a tiring city tour on my first day in the city, waking up early amidst the sleepless night, taking the tram and walking few miles just to reach this... A really suggestive palace! It was designed as a summer residence for the Duchess Henriette Adelaide of Savoy as a reward for bearing the Duke a son after some ten years of marriage. It is 350 years since its building on September, the 12nd.This visit can take some hours, the museums are worth seeing, the pavilions are unique and must... More

The inside of the palace was amazing! You get to learn about the history of the palace and the art and the royal family that used the palace as a summer resident. There's a huge garden behind the palace which you can enter freely and it's very beautiful, more beautiful than the English garden.

You are only allowed to visit about 5 rooms and you pay for admission, plus if your purse is medium sized they make you put it in a locker which costs money as well. I have definitely seen better palaces..this was not worth our time or money.

This review may not be fair as we di dnot even visit the inside of the Palace (we were schlossed out after Linderhof, Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein). However, the water outside this palace was dirty, and the numerous ducks made the paths rather flithy to walk along (one had to be very careful where you stepped!)

Nice palace, free gardens which are huge and empty around the time we went here. The palace itself isn't actually as stunning as other palaces in Europe but never the less shouldn't be avoided. The souvenir store was quite tacky looking to me in terms if the items it was selling. So I didn't buy anything from there.

We visited the palace on a rainy day so did not manage to get a lot of good pictures. You might need at least half day there as the garden and palace are big! Spend more time at the park garden, it is really beautiful and MAGNIFICENT!

This palace is one of the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It is very big with a central building which has two large wings. There are four gardens surrounding this palace. All the gardens are very very beautiful. Although it is very beautiful but I got little disappointed after going inside the palace as it was not as... More

The Schloss Nyphenburg is a place you should dedicate a few hours to. The gardens are amazing and there is plenty to look at. People watching in general is great here! We didn't go in because it was closed on Sunday evening but we sat on a bench and watched wedding portraits be made and families have picnics. Grab a... More

The palace is great, with a special architecture. Inside the palace you can visit, it is very well preserved. The most beautiful I have felt the castle park. Both the interior and exterior. Interesting are the benches in the park. On many benches there are plates inscribed with names or messages. There is an annual fee to post such a... More
