Very nice castle and castle grounds. Although I recommend visiting it in either summer or winter to do it justice, as the weather can severly dampen the experience. more

The Schloss Nyphenburg is a combination history lesson, park, and sightseeing adventure. The grounds are beautiful and extend for miles...there were quite a few locals just jogging and walking around the outside as the grounds are free and open to the public. The buildings were lovely- be sure to purchase the full ticket with admission to the main house and... more

Lovely house and gardens - an oasis of peace and tranquillity in the midst of a very busy city. Just to clarify, as the price list at the entrance isn't that clear (although it's in English as well as German) - the gardens are completely free at all times. To get to them you have to walk through the entrance... more

The Nymphenburg Palace is a must-see in Munich! When my husband and I visited Germany a few years ago, we went to the palace because we didn't have any other plans for a rainy afternoon. We LOVED it! The gardens are beautiful and you could easily spend a full day exploring the grounds. We are actually going back to Germany... more

Nymphenberg Palace was the summer palace of the Wittelbach's, the ruling family of Bavaria. It is really easy to get to, you just hop on the tram and there is a stop right in front of the Palace. When you go make sure you get the combination ticket that allows you entrance to the palace itself and also several buildings... more

This is a beautiful area of the attraction that is not to be missed. This lion is only one of the many magnificent sculptures adorning the grounds. Notice how human his paw is as it grasps the crest of Bavaria. We visited in March, so we can only imagine the colorburst that spring might bring. But, these grounds under a... more

The Schloss Nymphenberg is the stuff of dreams, with its elegant Italian-styled façade, lovely frescoed walls, rococo gilding, gorgeously manicured lawns and dreamy canals. It’s easy to spend an entire day here strolling the grounds, gazing at the swans, watching for fish, and discovering hidden pavilions. Side museums offer an interesting glimpse at the porcelain once carefully crafted here and... more

The first site of Nymphenburg whets your appetite for all it has to delight you. The schloss itself was beautiful with ornate decor at every turn, however, much of the interior was closed the day I visited. I only got to visit three rooms, but they were beautiful. The collection of sleighs, carriages and porcelain are not to be missed.... more
