Description: Munich City, Third Reich, Dachau, Salzburg, Nuremberg and Neuschwanstein...
Munich City, Third Reich, Dachau, Salzburg, Nuremberg and Neuschwanstein and other Ludwig II Castles. A tour with Curt Milburn is like having a welcoming family friend show you around Munich. Curt's been called "The Wikipedia of History". He specializes in small group and private tours. Tours are tailor-made and Curt finds out what YOU want to see. His City Tours go beyond canned, set routes. You'll see the famous sites, architecture, learn about kings, Hitler, foods and beer. Our Third Reich Tours delve deep into more than when, but why and how the Nazis came to power and you'll see the bombed buildings of Hitler. Curt's Dachau tours are sensitive and remarkably moving and his Neuschwanstein and Castle tours are great fun. Salzburg & Nuremberg are within your reach with Big Hat Tours! Every tour is accompanied by an Apple i-Pad with hundreds of photos to put you into history.

We took a tour with Curt to Salzburg and it was the absolute best excursion we have ever taken (and we've been on a lot)! He was able to relate to both the younger ones (10 and 13 year old girls) and the 3 "wiser" (over 70) ones on our trip! We all loved him!!!

Curt is an absolutely fabulous guide. He immediately connected with my teenage boys (no small feat) and provided nonstop interesting, fun and thought provoking information for 4 hours!!! He effortlessly transitioned from his prepared presentation to answer our many questions and then back again. Truly exceptional. I would recommend him to anyone visiting Munich.

Curt is a fantastic tour guide. He was funny, extremely knowledgable, and customized our tour based on what various people in our group wanted to learn about. We got to try food at various markets and it seemed he knew a lot of locals and shop owners. He helped us with directions to get to restaurants and other tours we... More

We had an all-day tour with Curt. It was a bit rainy and Curt was not feeling the best either. Nevertheless, we had a very enjoyable day. The tours are not cheap--400 Euros for the whole day.

Our private city tour on June 4th was set up with Curt via email. His quick response and detailed communication made it easy to find Curt at our appointed time. Our afternoon tour was on the same day that we arrived in Munich from the United States. We were very tired and it was hot!, so I was a little... More

I found Curt and Big Hat Tours on the internet when I was looking for a walking tour of Munich. We had been to Munich 2 years before but had only seen the highlights as we were there only a day or so. We thoroughly enjoyed his 3 hour walking tour of the city. There was only one other couple... Curt is the perfect person to do a walking tour with if you are visiting Munich. He came armed with an iPad and lots of details and interesting facts. He is very knowledgeable about Munich's rich history, architecture and cultural style. We spent a cold, rainy day with him in April, but despite the weather, he made the tour incredibly... More

Our 2nd tour with Curt in three years - this time a full day in Nuremberg. Easy to book in advance from the UK. Easy to find our guide in Munich hauptbahnof and an easy going day in the beautiful & historical Imperial City. We enjoyed the whole experience plus the bratwursts for lunch - memories of RAFG in the... More

We had an amazing time! For two college students it was perfect. Also, curt was willing to help out with other activities and never made me feel like we on a time constraint.
