Description: Munich City, Third Reich, Dachau, Salzburg, Nuremberg and Neuschwanstein...
Munich City, Third Reich, Dachau, Salzburg, Nuremberg and Neuschwanstein and other Ludwig II Castles. A tour with Curt Milburn is like having a welcoming family friend show you around Munich. Curt's been called "The Wikipedia of History". He specializes in small group and private tours. Tours are tailor-made and Curt finds out what YOU want to see. His City Tours go beyond canned, set routes. You'll see the famous sites, architecture, learn about kings, Hitler, foods and beer. Our Third Reich Tours delve deep into more than when, but why and how the Nazis came to power and you'll see the bombed buildings of Hitler. Curt's Dachau tours are sensitive and remarkably moving and his Neuschwanstein and Castle tours are great fun. Salzburg & Nuremberg are within your reach with Big Hat Tours! Every tour is accompanied by an Apple i-Pad with hundreds of photos to put you into history.

Curt is an outstanding tour guide. We are a family of four, all adults, and booked Curt for three days of tours to Salzburg, Munich Third Reich/Dachau, and Nuremberg. He was very knowledgeable, kept us moving but did not rush us, and was very easy to work with. He showed up on time and did a great job adjusting logistics... More

I randomly met Curt 7 years ago when I took a group walking tour with a large tour company. I've taken tours all over the world. Curt was incredible and memorable. So when I knew I'd be visiting Munich again this year, I started doing research on the Internet to find him. Luckily for me he was easy to find... More

I always have to worry a little when I book a walking tour of a city with an emphasis on history - will the kids be bored??? But definitely not with Curtis! Our entire family, including our kids (ages 11 and 14) agreed this was a great tour. He has fun and interesting stories that bring the city, and its... More

Since I attended high school with Curt (we ran in totally different circles so had not seen him in many years), I knew it would be good but WOW!!! My husband & I had done a bit of research before we arrived knowing that our time was limited in Munich and Curt filled in any gap & question we had.... More

Curt was so incredibly knowledgable and enjoyable that it made our time with him a very special part of our trip. The pace he set was perfect for our group of four and we covered quite a bit of historical downtown. I love that he had pictures of the areas before WWII, after the war, and then seeing it now... Curt was the best tour guide we have had! We did the small tour of Munich and provided Curt with some preferences for sightseeing. He did not disappoint! Everything that we were hoping to explore was covered, and then some. We also had seniors in our group, and he was very helpful and accommodating in helping to keep the walking... More

We did three tours with Curt; Munich City Tour, Nuremberg and Salzburg, Austria. All three tours were fabulous! Curt Milburn is the best tour guide we have ever had. He is knowledgeable, personable and funny. And his tours are reasonably priced. We can't wait to get back to Munich to tour with Curt again. Thank you Curt! Suzanne and Mike

Curt provided a wonderfully paced, flexible, informed introduction to Munich. There is nothing 'rote' about his personable presentation. He speaks easily and knowledgeably about the history, foods, markets, churches, and historical attractions, which included some lovely hidden gems. He is punctual, and once with our group, he was extremely generous with his time and recommendations. We never felt pushed. The... More
