Owner description: We offer exceptional walking tours in Munich and the surrounding area. We specialise in 3rd Reich and WW2 military history, archaeology and Medieval themes or can tailor a private tour to your wishes. We are also able to offer tours of the Dachau Memorial site with fully trained, tested and knowledgeable guides. As well as Munich history we offer a unique tour to Regensburg which focuses on Roman archaeology and Medieval Jewish history. We believe in using all the senses so expect to handle artefacts like ancient pottery, swords, armour, uniforms, original documents and photographs. Unlike other firms, ALL our guides have a background in history and heritage and have previously worked professionally in these sectors in roles as diverse as archaeologists, museum and theatre advisors and period-specialist film extras. Discounts given for students, seniors and serving or ex-military/ambulance crew/fire brigade/police officers. Suitable for history lovers aged 8 to 80.

A massive thank you to Taff for changing up our tour of Dachau to suit my eclectic family. He could tell that we might have sampled a few of the local beers too much the night before, and that we were also not handling the 0 degree temperatures too well, so tailored the Dachau tour around our needs. He was... More

His business card says David Simon. But he goes by his nickname "Taff" - When a fella introduces himself to you by his nickname you know straight away he is cut from a different cloth to most. Let me start by saying this... David (or Taff) is the most committed tour guide i have ever had the priveledge of meeting...(yep,... More

We spent a very memorable day with Taff, only a couple of days before Christmas, walking around Munich and learning all about the city during the rise to power and the early years of the Nazi party. When Taff arrived, at exactly the time he said he would, he was carrying a big rucksack full of physical bits of history... More

A group of four of us joined Taff on Thurs 4th December 2014 for a 1918 to 1939 history tour but we had asked that he mix this up with a Brewery and Brewing history tour, something he hadn't been asked to do before so ours was the first such tour they'd done. We were joined by Austin, who provided... More

Keith was a phenomenal tour guide. He walked us through the Dachau concentration camp and around Munich focusing on the history during the time Hitler rose to power in Munich. Keith was flexible as we asked for some good local food and drink as part of the day. He has the perfect tour guide personality - communicates well, easy-going, and... More

Our short time in Munich could not have been better spent than being guided with Taff. We came with great expectations, having received a sterling recommendation from a tour in Frankfurt and were left feeling extremely grateful for how he brought Munich, past and present to life. Taff has such a unique take on walking tours and is deeply passionate... More

Great tour, we ( 2 teachers + group of 16-18 year olds) loved the tour. Great pace, interesting pointers, lots of 'Dark History' about the Nazi's and medieval Munich. Would really recommend to anyone going to Munich. Taff is friendly, flexible and has his own set of weapons and armour! Hire him!

This is a remarkable way to see Munich and to absorb the history. We (a group of 4) linked up with Taff on a tour he'd customised for our interests - well, it was perfect for us. We spent an entire day visiting various locations in Munich (including a guided tour within the museum), with Taff pulling photos, relics, gas... More

We've just spent today being guided around Munich by Taff - it's so hard to sum up the tour as so much was covered but we had a fantastic day. Taff is so knowledgeable bringing recent history to life from his (huge) rucksack through books, artefacts etc. Taff is very easy company and tailors the tour to your interests.
