Previously reviews were being posted under Mike's Bike Tours. Our fantastic guide, Brad Daynes, from South Africa, is a true Professional Entertainer and Expert Close-Up Magician and has been leading this trip for us since we started offering it over ten years ago. Our main competitors either take people to Neuschwanstein from Munich by train, do not cater exclusively to the English-speaking market and / or do not base their success on positive word of mouth as we do, rather by paying hotels to send them anybody and everybody that wants to go there, no matter what language they speak. Our competitive prices of €49 (only €39 for backpackers / students!) for this Top-Notch excursion clearly offer the best value available especially for English-speaking clientel in any tour to Neuschwanstein Castle from Munich. We know when comparing any and all offers that one can only come to this conclusion themselves, especially when considering the comfort and convenience of our LUXURY COACH as compared to the (often unpleasant) experience of a frequently (especially in summer!) over-crowded, non air-conditioned train and public bus which one can take on their own, whereby paying a premium to join an organized tour offers far less added value than our excursion does. (Our spacious, air conditioned coach w/ monitors and DVD is also far more comfortable than any van with up to 7 or 8 strangers packed tightly together possibly could be). Our tours include organization of discounted tickets (save €1 off the normal price) for the tour of the inside of Neuschwanstein, a highly enjoyable, (optional) bike ride on well-maintained, comfortable Cruiser bicycles around the area near the castle AND our guide's post-lunch PROFESSIONAL magic show which is FUN, truly impressive and downright mind-boggling! We also offer a few other possible fun activities such as swimming in a refreshing alpine lake in the middle of the bike ride and the unique opportunity to FLY DIRECTLY OVER THE CASTLE on a tandem paraglide! (this option is not included in our tour price, it's €135 extra) For less than €2 one can also take a fun ride down an alpine slide! Hence, our Neuschwanstein Castle Tours from Munich are indeed, VERY unique. For those not interested in such activities there is the option to do the tour of Hohenschwangau castle (€11 extra) instead, in which case we only charge €39 for this excursion! For yet more info about this TOP-NOTCH day trip by luxury coach please click on the title to this listing to see our photos and the link to our website. We hope you will choose to join us on this fantastic excursion from Munich in the near future so that we may have the opportunity to send you, too, off as nothing less than another FAN of our company. « less

My wife and I did this tour yesterday and it really was a good value day Packed with an array of things to do. Informative DVD on the long journey to the foothills below the castle. Then a bike tour around swan lake. With optional swim which one person took up, lake was still a bit icy. In summer it... More

The whole trip to Neuschwanstein was amazing! We ended up going on the same day as the UEFA Champions League final in Munich so most people in Munich were interested in the game. It ended up being a smaller group for the tour and had an amazing time. Brad the tour guide is fantastic. He's very knowledgable about the area... More

Would highly recomend this tour as a great day out to visit the castle and see more of the amazing scenery. More

We did this tour during a visit to Munich in September 2011. It was a great way to get out to the castle. Our guide Brad was knowledgeable and entertaining on the ride from Munich which was good preparation for the self-guided walk around the castle. The hike from the bus up to the castle was also beautiful. I also... More

The day was overcast and threatening rain and we were dubious about going at all but we had a great time although it started to pour on our way to Swan Lake. Ponchos were handed out and we stayed fairly dry and had a nice ride around the lake. One brave soul ventured in for a swim. Lunch was good... More

The tour was wonderful and well planned. The tour guide was knowledgable of the area and his grasp of the history of Bavaria was good. The bike ride and hike with the castle in the background were amazing. We will definitely be going again. More

This was one the highlights of my trip to Germany. Although it was rainy, it cleared up after the bike ride and before the castle tour, Brad made it the best he could. The bike trip to Swan Lake was wonderful. The lunch was great. Brad made his magic show after lunch and before the Castle tour. The climb to... More

If you are in Munich you have to check out the famous Neuschwanstein castle, just to say you did. We did the tour that included the Linderhof castle. The grounds were beautiful at Linderhof. Very enjoyable tour. More
