Nice to see

If you're in Marienplatz, stop and see the Fischbrunn. It is beautiful to see and only takes a few minutes to admire the fountain and take a photo.

As the original fountain was destroyed in WWII, this mid 1950's one is a nice addition to the already beautiful Marienplatz. As the fountain is a very central meeting place for tourists groups, it's almost impossible to take a photo of it without someone being in the frame.

I heard it's a favorite place to meet by the locals but as the landmark, it's nothing special. I didn't even notice it the first time I passed by!

It's a fountain and everyone meets there. Choose a coffee shop instead to meet at. At least you can have some coffee and cake while you are waiting and not having to inhale cigarette smoke of the other people waiting.

It's a very nice fountain right in front of the New Town Hall. It's also the meeting point in Marienplatz. Lovely fountain!

This is a nice fountain. There were many people (we believe most were locals) around the fountain. Not a must while in Munich.

Not a big deal. You'll see it once you are at Marienplatz, a beautiful place, but the fountain itself is not that special.

Whenever you have an appointment in Munich you say: "Let's meet at the Fischbrunnen". This has tradition, also that you have to wash your purse at Ash Wednesday there.
