Fantastic place. A typical German Brau. The food was excellent because you have to like it. But the beer and the atmosphere were excellent. Not too far for the centre of the city. A place to be visited.

You can brag about the fact how touristy the Hofbräuhaus is but it is and will always be my most favourite spot in Munich. I just love the location, the beer, the food, the people, the ambiance it can not be topped.

Hofbräuhaus is a very touristy stop in münchen, but the atmosphere is quite nice. The venue is always very full so you have to scounder around for s table, once you find a table you need to get lucky and get one of the servers to help you. Once you are past these two stumbles, it's a great experience. Beer... More

So the Hofbrauhaus is crowded (VERY crowded), hot, rowdy and the service truly is lackluster, but you have to go at least once. Sure, it took me over 30 minutes to get my order in and another 30 minutes to get my food, but who goes there for the food and service? If you want top-notch service and food, Munich... More

Everyone trolls around looking for a seat and once you find one you don't leave it for awhile. The 1 liter beers come out of the kitchen 8 or so at a time expertly carried by the strong and experienced wait staff. The biggest pretzels I've ever seen are sold out of a huge cart on the shoulders of a... More

It is really a Mini October Bier fest hall. When you miss the October Fest, do not be sad, just visit this Bier hall and enjoy food. And I found it is not costly, but it is very difficult to get a place, so crowded always. I enjoyed there with my friends and also there is possibility to buy all... More

The Hofbrauhaus in Munich is a very unique place to go and experience german culture, beer, and food. This extremely large building is filled with tourists, locals, great music, and fantastic beer! I recommend just getting the standard 1L beer that they serve. It is extremely good and quite cheap considering how much you get. It is always busy and... More

Try the 1 liter (mass) of Maibok Beer. Careful don't drink to much of that. For food and your not a meatlover or vegetarian try the Kazespatzle, sort of macoroni chees but then german style!!!

This is a must do! Go there and get the pork knuckle and 1L stein and embrace the German culture. The atmosphere of this place is great, its was you crave when you travel. The interior represents old school germany, this is a very traditional place to get a delicious bite to eat and a beer or ten. Its pretty... More
