For 1.50 euros u get to climb the tower that will display breathtaking views of munich. Be prepared with much water and prepare your legs for a ride climbing up the tower though! Obviously, going down is nothing but climbing is a different story.

Like most churches in Munich, Peterskirche is stunning. The climb to the the top of the altar is worth it for amazing views of the city's attractions.

This is one of the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever seen. Definitely a must when doing a walking tour around old town Munich.

It is 297 steps to the top and around 14 levels. The wooden stairs are narrow and it frequently jams up as there is limited space to pass others going the opposite direction. We were about halfway up when the bells started ringing so if you will be in the tower on the hour be prepared. They ring for awhile... More

On a clear day you can see for miles....well, kilometres. This is a perfect place for getting an overview of the city before you start exploring it. There are two things to note first though. Go around the building and not in the first door you see, as this will bring you straight into the church. Secondly, be warned that... More

Make sure you go to the viewing tower. Best views of Munich. Also, the church is rich in history as it was reconstructed after WWII.

We stumbled upon St Peter's after hearing the church bells, then looking up and noticing a viewing platform at the top. It's < 2E to make the climb. It's a LOT of stairs - maybe 15 flights. Narrow staircase so be mindful of the fact there are not a lot of places to take breaks if you are winded. The... More

While the stairs might be daunting, the view is well worth the climb. Unobstructed 360 degree views of Munich and the surrounding area. I try to go first thing or at the end of the day to avoid crowds.
