During our two night stay in Munich the weather was quite wet, but we still managed to visit Marienplatz. Thoroughly enjoyed the brief visit there and loved the architecture.

Beautiful architecture takes you back to old days. Richly adorned buildings with stunning detail. Lots of cafés, restaurants, shops to enjoy. It's extremely crowded and that bothered me.

We didn't know what to expect in Munich, but I have to say we were unexpectedly delighted by this City. Marienplatz is truly stunning! We decided to take a stroll there after checking into our Hotel and were in awe of the beautiful building which we learned was the New Town Hall. The literature & brochures on Munich didn't make... Although we didn't allow enough time to fully explore all the market has a nice vibe and would be a great place to spend at least half a day to eat and browse .

Very trendy shopping area, coupled with excellent architecture, spacious and so much to see. The shopping area is a pleasure to visit. There is a pedestrian zone that stretches to Karlplatz. Also has the " Italian Mile" very touristy and fascinating

Central plaza in Munich. Historical buildings resored to original condition after WW II. Always crowded, but fun to visit.

Beautiful area for shopping and dining and checking out some architecture. There was a farmer's market area that was filled with lots of fresh produce.

We loved strolling through the market and couldn't resist the Glockenspiel. In the summer I believe that it plays at 11, noon and 5.
