After making a special trip to Munich to visit the BMW Museum we were extremely disappointed to find it was shut on Mondays. There was nothing on their website to advise that this was the case. Very poor public relations. more

I visited the BMW Museum in Munich in September 2008. Admission was €12, pay parking available in the basement of the showroom/customer delivery centre nearby. The BMW museum is closed right now because they're building a new amazing museum across the street. So, right now they have a temporary museum inside a small building and a large inflated globe-shaped building with maybe 25-30 cars, descriptions, some history, and also bikes/motorbikes. A WONDERFUL exhibit of many of their fabulous products starting from the very beginning and stretching into possible future models! Great Audio-visual system where you can learn a little about each product. Only wish there were more on display - since they made many bikes/cars/marine engines etc that are not displayed. more

While the BMW Museum may have been state-of-the-art when it opened 20 years ago, it certainly has not remained so. Basically, the tourist follows a cylindrical upward path along which various historical models of BMW products are displayed.
