I always seek out rooftop bars, stuff you can climb or anything with a view. For £5.50 euro you get wizzed up in a speedy lift to the top of the tower. Here you can sniff Britney Spears old tour jeans or stand with a cardboard cutout of Rod Stewart, that may sound like I'm reviewing two different places but... More

You must make sure you go to the correct train station, otherwise you have a long walk. Olympia-Zentrum on the U3 line is the correct one. The lift up to the top is very swift, once up there the views are fantastic. Try to go on a clear day. There are 2 outside levels as well as the inside level.... More

I wouldn't make a special trip here just to go up the tower, but if you're in the area, the tower is worth a trip to the top. The elevator is very fast but crowded. It leads to a wonderful view of Munich and the BMW Welt below.

Stunning view of the city. Loved it. Probably not for the faint of heart, I got a little spooked standing right against the glass. It has a sort of guide on the glass to help you understand what you're looking at. Thought that was handy. There's also a restaurant and a mini rock museum at the top. I did not... More

The 1972 Olympics were held in Munich, and where the main games were located is now Olympia Park. In the center of this park is the Olympiaturm, a 291 meter tower that gives visitors a gorgeous panoramic view of Munich and the surrounding country side. It costs 5.50 Euros to ride up to the top, and it is well worth... More

Not a place for those who dislike heights but, if you don't have such problems, take time to go up this tower for the beautiful views across Munich towards the Alps. The lift to the top is fast but they do fill each lift to capacity at peak times. There is a covered viewing area which has the main sights... More

The Olympiaturm is one of the musts of Munich because of its amazing view of the city and the alps. It's so nice to see everything you visited from above. The rock museum included in the price of admission is also a very nice bonus, with so many interesting stuff like lyrics sheets of famous songs, clothes of rockers, pianos,... More
