Schloss Ehrenburg was one of the three castles we visited while in Coburg (the other two were the Veste and Schloss Rosenau), all very worthwhile. There is a guided tour every hour and you cannot visit the castle on your own. Tours are in German only and the guide knows a lot about its history and is passionate about it.... More

As other reviewers have mentioned, you can only visit Schloss Ehrenburg on a German-speaking guided tour, and no photos are allowed. Your guide will refresh your memory of their love story during the tour. Guided tours are only in German, but extensive printed material is... More

One of the nicest palaces in Bavaria, with Queen Victoria rooms and other interesting items. No English guide, although the German guide has slipped some brief explanations for us. There is a guided tour every hour, you cannot go at your own pace through the palace. Also (like almost everywhere in German museums) photography is banned.
