Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a lovely German ski resort town. The painted buildings and quaint town are fun to stroll around. It's easy proximity to Munich is another plus and a very easy train ride away.

Spent two weeks skiing in Austria and Germany. GM grooming is entirely insufficient for Spring conditions. Limited on-mountain facilities. Next time we will stick with the much better Austrian and Swiss resorts.
Exellent skiing there. When we were there it was mostly suny but still winter skiing conditions - perfect snow and slopes, exellent bear after skiing :)

The snow there was beautiful due to the altitude and the pistes were largely empty with no lift queues. The pistes were all blue to red but no poling...

Piste 16 can be fantastic after snowfalls, no snow machines on this run, unfortunately it has a T-bar lift so no rest for tires legs. Lots of restaurants and prices are...

beautiful runs, and don't miss the kandahar run, it is wonderful, quite long and difficult. Covered chairlifts are also a great bonus in this ski area .
incredible views, great weather. Spectacular. You can see for miles to Austria, even Italy on the horizon.
