The primary reason to visit is the historical connection here but there is no need to spend a lot of time here. As someone else commented, you can tack this on to the end of a Partnachklamm visit. When it is sunny, it is a nice place to sit out at the bierkeller on the grounds. The views of the... More

Make this visit to coincide with a visit to Partnach gorge. An awesome structure which makes you appreciate the ski jumpers and what nerves they must have. If you have time you can walk up the side via steps made in the hillside up to part of the highest jump. You can't really go any further and if you walk... More

Back in the 30's, this place must have been amazing. Now it's a bit run down. That goes for both olympic stadiums. There isn't enough at either place to keep it interesting.

This was nice to visit where they held they Olympics for ski jumps. You can climb on each of the ski jumps. It was nice to see the progression of the ski jumps. The first international ski jump was 1922 . The stadium was built for the winter games in 1934 and it held 40,000 people. The field at the... More

Within the middle of the Olympic Stadium you can find four ski-jump ramps. From training to world championships, the four ski-jumps are very impressive in size and fortitude. I can't believe they jump off the largest ramp because it is a looooong - way down, not only the ramp, but the entire hill! The ramps are impressive; however, if you... More

Like others have said there is not much to see, but it's still history. It's very impressive to see how big these jumps are in person. I stopped in for a quick look before heading to my real destination of the Partnach Gorge.

Drove to this site early in the morning and walked on to the run out. Never having been to a ski jumping event much less one of it's sites, I can tell you I was impressed. Standing there also afforded the opportunity to close my eyes and think about the history of the area.

We visited here on several occasions, and were lucky enough to watch practice sessions. Very impressive.

We lived at Olympia haus, so our terrace was just so we can see the ski jumps. It was nice in the evening to look young kids training skijumping and very near doing slalom. It was pitty it was not enough snow for cross country skiing which we wanted to do. We went to Eckbauer one day by lift and... More

Cool site, but not much to see in November at least. Interesting sculptures around the perimeter and fun to see how the spectators used to watch the Olympics on traditional benches, etc.
