There is so much to see and even though we've been there several times we always find new things to see.

It gets busy on the weekends, would recommend skiing during the week if you can. The runs were very icy and the man made snow only lasted part way through the day. We will go again, but only after we try some other ski areas.

We were there for New Year's week and it was crazy crowded! Europeans don't have lift lines like in the states so you are in a funnel to get on the lift. People push and cut and they don't care if it is a child. Go to the Zugspitz if you can- worth the time and cost.

Very busy during the season, but very efficient lifts and restaurants. Recommended for all no matter how long you have been skiing.

We had pre booked ski hire and lessons. We arrived a couple of hours early to get fitted out. We had to ask a lot of questions to find out how to pick up our gear and to find out where lessons would leave from. Once we were organised with our gear we still had an hour and a half... More

We had an our to spare waiting for the cogwheel train to the Zugspitze and took a stroll to get a bit to eat... No such luck, everything except for the ice cream parlor and the Burger King was closed.

My family and I went to these two twin towns. The historic significance was very interesting. Mountains looked like a painting with snow on them most of the year. There is a wood carver up the mountain on the way to the Castle at the top of the Austrian Alps within 20 minutes from Garmisch. He carves very intricate wood... More

A picturesque place in particular around Christmas. Not to far from Munich and great to drive in mountains. You can visit newschwanstein castle ( the one they copied for Disney castle). And Germany lives up to its reputation as clean and efficient!!!!!!!

It is a quaint wonderland of a town. Took the train and beautiful, snow, cattle and the little houses for animals and hay. Seeing the Zugspite was beautiful and in the snow made it even more real. Went to top and sat and had hot coffee and stood outside at the highest spot and snow flurries everywhere. The ride up and down... More
