I have visited several Klamms in the area and I have to say that this is easily the best. Fun to visit at night too, but best to do that with a tour and torches for safety. Also, best to do in late spring or summer when the water flow is maximum. Hiking to the klamm is the most interesting... More

This place is amazing! When we visited Garmisch we were disappointed because it was a cloudy day and we couldn't go to the Zugspitze, but our roommate at the hostel told us about this place and it was beautiful. One afternoon we walked from Partenkirchen to the Partnach Gorge. It cost €2 apiece to visit the gorge, but it was quite an experience and worth every cent! include walking out the exit of the gorge at the end, turn left at the first trail which goes up and around, and end up at the Graseck Restaurant and take the small cable car back down. Beware that the gorge can be closed in springtime due to the thaw, so check the big bulletin board by the stadium, "geschlossen"... More

Well known to locals, the gorge is an interesting half day hike -easy for families although not stroller friendly - that will please kids.
