took the ferry across the konigsee and walked to the other side of obersee. both exquisite. boats were frequent and we had no trouble with queues - maybe the pessimistic weather forecast discouraged some visitors, though the skys remained blue reflecting in the crystal clear waters. smoked trout at st. sebastian was not all that.

The surrounding area is so beautiful You have to get a boat ticket which stops first at a church then at another lake.. Some people mentioned that they didnt go to the second lake.. which is a mistake you dont wanna do.. The second lake is smaller than the first with a short hike to get up there.. but the... More

As we arrived at the Königsee we knew we wanted to take a boat ride on the lake. We were looking at the boat schedule and the prices. There are two stop which one can get off the boat, walk around and look at the marveling beauty, maybe even grab coffee, beer, pretzel before getting back on the boat. We... More

On a warm summers day there is nothing better than taking the boat out to St. Bartholomea and go for a swim in the clear water. A lovely trip.

This was a beautiful location to visit. We had a stop on a day-tour and very much enjoyed walking around and eating gelato! :)

Beautiful lake in a National Park with loads of history relating to the Hitler era. In summer it get extremely busy and the car parks are packed. They are about 10 minutes walk from the lake on a well paved pedestrian area with a mass of shops and restaurants. Regular boat trips on the lake but get there early as... More

In summer there will be crowds. You will need to queue for a boat. It will be crowded. But the scenery makes all that worthwhile. Get there as early as you can and you won't have to queue as long. We took the boat all the way to the end and then walked the short distance to the Obersee. Less... More
