We took the 4 hour minibus mountain & lake tour by Panorama in Salzburg for 37euro per pax. The guide explained well the history of salzburg while passing by each historical building or monument. He drove us up the Untersberg for us to experience the mountain and snow and drove down towards bertchesgaden where we get to see the lake.... More

Came here for a day from Salzburg and so glad I did - just beautiful gliding along in a boat and then wandering around island - not sure what it would be like in high season (still beautiful) but at some points I was the only person I could see

Don't miss it, one of the most beautiful places in Europe... BUT visit on a fine day only as it gets a bit chilly even in mid June. We were staying in Salzburg just over the border in Austria and a short and scenic drive away from Konigsee and Berchtesgarden (another pretty village and well worth a visit). We took... More

This is a touristy place with alot of shops and restaurants. The part I did enjoy was the boatride around the Königsee. There are many photo oppurtunities but bring or invest in a zoom lens.

There are no words for how beautiful this lake is. Winter, summer, doesn't matter, it still looks incredible.

I never been to such to this lovely lake. It's a huge lake, you can do trekking and at same time ride their guided boat all the way to the other end where you can see a church and a snow capped mountains. I love the trees , all so straight. You can see mallard swimming around. When we docked... More

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. So peaceful, tranquil , & quiet. Like stepping into another place in time,. Would highly recommend you go there!

When we arrived at the little town that the boat leaves from, I was already impressed with the area - but the views during the boat ride and at St. Bartholoma's were absolutely extraordinary. The tour itself is in German (which we spoke very little of), so I'm sure there was more that we could have experienced and missed out... More

A tour there would cost you €40 each and obviously you'd have to go at the designated time. Get on a number 840 bus and for just €9.60 you can get all the way there and back. It's a stunning area and another €10 each gets you on a slim boat trip to St Bartholemews and back at the other... More

This is a very good place to link your visit to Kehlsteinhaus with. On the shore there are tons of places to eat and drink beer:) . It`s well worth taking a boattrip on the lake. You`ll recharge your batteries for sure
