My fiance and i had a great time on the Konigssee. The beauty is indescribable! Even though it rained most of the time we were there, it was still worth it. We took the boat to Salet, and then hiked to the waterfall. A word of advise: don't hike the 1.5 hours to the waterfall. Hike to the first building... More

This place is AMAZING! Looks like something out of this world! My friends thought the photos I took there were photoshoped! Didn't know a ladscape can actually look like THAT! As soon as I got back hope I couldn't stop thinking of getting back there! The Bavarian guy with the trumpet (on the boat) was got answered back by the... More

The view out onto Konigsee is spectacular. Went for a swim. It is VERY cold but worth it and the water is crystal clear. If you are adventurous enough, follow the trail from the dock and past the sign that talks about 'being an uninsured path'. It will take you down some slippery stones and uneven paths with metal handrails... More

Beautiful scenery, calm water. Got off the boat mid-way on an island for half an hour, where a beautiful church is located. Not much to do there, but relaxed and have a cup of coffee and a sandwich at a restaurant. Back where we took the boat from, there are lot of small restaurants and ice cream shops, just a... More

If you are in the area, Konigssee is a must see. Take the boat to the island and make sure you allow plenty of time to walk around and explore. Take a second day to go and visit 'Mount Jenner'. If you are going in the colder seasons, make sure you have shoes with good grip - the paths are... More

Konigssee is said to be the cleanest lake in Germany. Visitors have an option to purchase either just a boat ride w/1 stop (St Bartholomew), or 2 stops (St Bartholomew and Obersee). We took the ride heading to Obersee. Watch out for the witch, the red cross, and the echo wall. There are food and drinks to be had near... More

We enjoyed seeing the lake, and the buildings around it. Peaceful and idyllic, do not miss it! Was especially interesting seeing the church near the lake, and the hike up to the ice cave was scenic as well.

Amazing day trip from Salzburg. Take the boat till the very last stop and hike to the waterfall. Total round trip of 5 hours (1 hour on boat each way and 3 hours walking to waterfall), but allow more time to relax and take in the scenery. You will be rewarded with killer views the entire way, pristine valleys with... More
