A narrow ravine that has been cut out of rock by water cascading down from the mountains. There are walkways over the foaming tumult and you can plan on 30 minutes at a run, or longer if you want to actually do the enjoyment thing. Keep walking past the Winbachklamm up to Wimbachschloss but allow a full day and a... More

Wimbachklamm is a great place to be in the outdoors. It gives you a perfect idea of how powerful nature can be. The price is reasonable. I recommend to go in the morning, otherwise you'll have many people in your pictures... Unfortunately the walk is quite short so the time marked to go through is way overrated although we took... The walk from Wimbach village to the gorge is probably harder than the gorge itself which has walkways and steadily ascends the gorge with the water rushing beneath your feet. There's a small entrance fee but worth it, and you can continue on and make it a long and interesting walk, especially when the river "disappears" to feed the hydro... More

This was an incredible experience. Our visit to this gorge was one of the most memorable excursions during our trip to the Bavarian Alps. The amount of waterfalls is really impressive and the setting is great.

Wimbachklamm is a very beautiful gorge, worth visiting. From the parking lot you have to climb to reach the entrance to the gorge. on the way there is a machine where you have to buy a token or else you won't be able to enter the gorge. We like the water so we preferred to go back in the same... More

The region of Bavaria & Tyrol (Austria) is full of gorges (klamms), and all are beautiful, but this one is most special. What makes it special is the numerous waterfalls that fall from the gorge walls into the river. every few meters there is a little stream of water on the wall. The length of this gorge is very short... More

It takes a few hours to walk along and up to the top of this gorge. It is quite tiring but worth it as it is lovely.

Walking boots, picnic and many hours to explore this spectacular gorge - words can not describe the wonder of this place, the power of the water, the tranqulity of the surroundings - some path ways are slippy and involve holding on to a rope on narrow wak ways - but i would definately return again and again - the water... There are multiple entrances to the gorge. We entered through the entrance near the town of Marktschellenberg. The entrance was unassuming, but that changed very quickly once we came into view of the gorge and the water fall. You feel like you are in one of the Indiana Jones movies. The well constructed trail traces the narrow of the gorge... More
