The Koenigsee is one of the most beautiful lakes in Germany, nestled between the mountains. The boat ride to St. Bartholomae is absolutely breathtaking and really worth it.

We went to St Bartolomae last year which is an easy day out on the boat from Konigsee via boat. There is a nice restaurant with good food and a pilgrims church with some gentle walks. This year we decided to walk to the Ice kappelle which is a hollow glacier 1.5 hours into the mountains. Initially the walk was... More

To reach with the boat and yo just can't miss the boat trip if you are there. The area is just beautiful. You can go hiking and mountain biking in the area.

Take the boat across Konigsee to St Bartholomae. Lots of hiking trails, even out to a glacier. Restaurant has excellent food after your hike. Smoked trout is recommended if available. Rest of the fare is traditional German and is good.

This is the first stop on the Konigssee boat trip and well worth the time visiting. The beautiful red dome is an iconic view in the Konigssee experience.

The only way to get to this place is by either hiking or taking a boat. The lake and cliffs along its side are just beautiful, and there is a section were there is a great echo on the lake. The views looking up on to the alps is fantastic. Next to the church is a restaurant that serves great... More

You can reach here via ferry or tracking. Most of the people choose ferry option which in itself is amazing.View of the lake in midst of hills is spectacular experience in itself. When you reach here, you find yourself very close to lush green forest. It was one of the best places I have ever visited.A Must visit if you are in Austria/Germany.

romantic place. Take a boat over the Konigsee and arrive at this small chapel. Very nice place. Romantic. Stunning view to the mountains around! But in summer this place is very touristic.
