Amazing visit even though we were unable to go to the eagles nest home on top of the mountain due to snow. We were able to visit the original home (much lower in the atmosphere) which is now a museum, place to eat and shops. We also went through the actual bunkers that Hitler and his staff used during WWII.... More

If you are on vacation in this beautiful country and you decide to go here you may be disappointed. The drive is beautiful and as always the Alps are stunning. But 30+ Euro for two for a bus ride (you cannot drive your car to the site) and then to find out the whole thing is a restaurant. Unless you... More

my visit was inspired by the above movie. It was amazing to see that very special building. And the view....... However, the price for at ticket is quite high. Must see. Spend some time and remember to book a return bus when arriving at the top with the bus. Do not forget to see the fireplace from Italy.

We visited the Eagle's Nest during a visit to Bavaria in October 2012. It's easy to find and ver accessible with a large carpark and regular bus service to the top. The bus trip is a nit hair raising for someone like me with no head for heights. Unfortunately on the day we visited the weather was awful with lots... More

We drove down from Salzburg and completed the tour in half a day.Bavarian alps has its own charm in terms of scenic beauty and flora and fauna. Driving through the hills is a nice experience. On reaching the spot, the underground bunkers, the tunnels and the beautiful construction on hilltop are pages from German inter war period. Those who are... More

If you have any interest in history at all then this is a tour which you absolutely must take if you are in the Bavarian Alps. I have taken it twice now, both times with David and the knowledge and information that he passes on is incredible. The tour consists of two bus rides, a museum tour, a tour of... More

The place is something to behold. Thinking of the slave labor that was used, and the dangers involved building this place, one can only imagine what the cost was in pain and suffering. It is worth the time, however, do not be lulled into believing this is just a lovely house on a hill. This is an example of ego... More

We took the last tour of the season with Eagle’s Nest Historical Tours on Sunday 10/21/2012 to Eagle’s Nest, Obersalzberg and the Bunker System. We were lucky to have a beatiful clear day. Christine was a wonderful tour guide. She was so knowledgable about World War II history. She made the area come alive with her animated and interesting facts... More
