Pure and simple, this is a long, blocked off shopping street. The stores along the street are nothing amazing, but interesting to window shop. The great fun of Koenigstrasse is the people watching- lots of different folks peddling, wandering, handing out pamphlets or pushing some agenda or another make this pedestrian market area lots of fun to wander, watch and... The Koenigsstrasse is the main shopping street of Stuttgart, good connected with two subway stations at the beginning (Hauptbahnhof) and middle (Stadtmitte) it features a number of clothes shops, larger shopping centers and cafes/snack vendors. Good for a strawl especially at Christmas time due to its proximity to the Christmas market.

This is the main shopping street in Stuttgart. Very wide, pedestrian zone with only a few cars and delivery vans crossing from the side streets. In December the fountains were all dry and the area was covered with X-mas market booths. Some very high-end stores further up the street along with a galleria. Runs by the Schlossplatz.

This is the most happening place is Stuttgart. It is basically a shopping street, which also has good restaurants and cafes. The Schlossplatz is also located here. The place is well connected with the other parts of the city and near Stuttgart main railway station. Nice place to spend time.

We visited here just as the Christmas decorations and exhibits were being constructed. Very pleasant experience. Lots of places to shop and eat.

Shopper's Paradise! Great shopping if you need to pick up some things from some "German" stores to bring home. Also the street food "durna's and "yufka's" are great, and anytime you can get ice cream DO it is awesome!!!!

If you want it... it's here! Easy to get around, lots to see. I'm not a big buyer, but I love to look. Definitely enjoyed walking around and visiting the beautiful shops.

Koenigstrasse is the perfect street for high street shopping, strolling around and pottering in the wide range of stores (clothing, books, shoes, household, electronics, etc) or just wandering about. Sitting on the steps or on the green grass and enjoying an Italian ice cone or cup is a must; alternatively sit at one of the numerous coffee shops or restaurants and... More
