Whilst there are many animals on view the conditions under which they are kept is appalling. Coming from a country where we have Safari parks, to see animals in cages and small enclosures in a country many times the size of the UK is disgusting,. Yes the flowers and Fauna are attractive but the tiger is slowly going mad. I... More

The zoo is very large plan for more than one day. If you live in the Stuttgart area I recommend buying a family pass especially if you have more than two kids.

Spent a lovely afternoon with my 10 year old daughter who loves animals. The place is extremely well organised and also the flowers are magnificent. The variety of the animals is super.

Visited last year during the week. Great park, easy to walk around, the park is a nice spot for pictures. A good refreshment area, break recommended. Small souvenir shop, clear map and directions, visit the website first, prices are okay for groups and the Stuttgart pass is a good option.

This was a lovely day out with family and friends. Plenty to see, plenty to keep the kids entertained. Probably best to set aside a whole day if you want to see everything, the Amazonia bit was really cool. I found the entrance fee reasonable, considering the amount of time you are in there. It is wheelchair friendly, although the... More

Plenty of safe parking(paid). Very beautiful landscape and atmosphere. 5yr loved it. Monkeys were the best. Amazed at how close the animals were.

Every time I used to drive from the wife's old's place in Esslingen to Stuttgart I would pass under this rail bridge that had a picture of a bunch of elephants next to the word: "Wilhelma". For about three years I thought Wilhelma was German for Family of Elephants. But it ain't. The German word for Elephant is 'Elefant'. Wilhelma... More

Really nice zoo with so much to see in one day. I went there twice and enjoyed it each time I went. Great for all ages but hard for the eldest to walk through it. They have a nice restaurant near to the main entrance just after the kangaroo. I recommend it as a Marin attraction that you should not... More

close to city centre and you will need to spend quite a few hours here in order to enjoy all it has to offer. The park is quite large so wear comfortable shoes.

The botanical garden was exceptional, well laid out and very clean, plants were fantastic especially in the greenhouses. The zoo part was as to be expected and the animals looked well cared for. Good value.
