I wouldn't be able to comment on the area year round but as we visited for the Christmas Markets I can say it was beautiful and full of life.

An amazing city with lots of things to do while you are there! The day I visited it, it was very crowded, but I did like it! It is worth a visit!

If you happen to be Downtown walking, sightseeing, or shopping it's a lovely place during warm weather to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery. Historical, and the fountains are lovely. Not a Destination all on it's own but certainly worth including in your walk about.

I like to hang out on the Palace Square in summertime. You can make a picknick and enjoy the nice weather... But during wintertime it's rather boring and not much to do...

Just a lovely central location in the city, the buildings are beautiful with excellent access to the main shopping areas of the city, sitting on the grass in the sun was lovely.

When you walk up the Koenigstrasse from the Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) you come to this vast opening, parklike, you have arrived am Schlossplatz. Beautiful, relaxing, great place to take a picture of the Schloss with the Fountain in front of it.
