Good photographic location, nice garden, nice to have coffee in nearby coffee shops. Especially at weekend's night, you will find lots of local people, drinking beer etc. It was nice experience (also little bit scary) to go there at night.

Depending on the season and the time of the day, the place has all kind of faces. At Christmas it is decorated with lots of lights. They do public viewing there for great sport events

The only good think is that it is next to the main pedestrian road where there are decades of shops etc. There are many more beautiful places in Germany to visit.

Schlossplatz is a great meeting point for friends. In the summer months people can be seen lounging in the grassy areas and jumping in the water fountains to cool off. Surrounding the square are castles, an Art Museum, shops and restaurants. A block away is a large pond with the large Opera House overlooking it. If you want a better... More

We visited this during the day and it was quite impressive. Would have liked to have seen it in the evening when it was lit up. Its right in the heart of Stuttgart so is easy to get to.

Two beautiful castles, the old and the new, more like a palace on the periphery of the square. The old castle is a good start to become familiarised with the history of the State of Baden-Wuttemberg. Access from the Schlossplatz to a myriad of shopping, bars and restaurants too and great public transport.

It's a nice open area. But, the fountains seem to be always under construction. But, nice place to have a picnic in the summer
