Due to safety reasons in case of fire the Tower has been closed fur the public. It is not worth going there for touristical reasons. However the forest next to the tv Tower is a gay cruising area day and night if the weather is good an d may interesting for gay visitors.

The tower offers you an elevator to go up and have a view of the city. It goes really high, but you also need a good day to be able to have nice views.

The lift was really quick. We had a cocktail up in the bar but didn't do the restaurant. It was a cloudy day so we didn't have much of a view. When you pay downstairs, you can ask the cashier what's the view like and he will show you on his screen, the camera view from up top, which was... More

The tower was totally worth the visit. However the first day I went (a nice sunny day) we had to wait over two hours just to get in and it was almost dark. We tried again earlier the next day. We had to wait the same two hours but we got up earlier. Unfortunately there was fog and the visibility... More

Having caught the street car to the TV Tower stop we then walked some 600 metres to the tower. Guess what it was closed and apparently has been for some months. They hope it will reopen late in 2015 but there was no information about its closure anywhere in Stuttgart. Do check before you waste your time visiting

The city has closed this site while they determine how to make it safer during potential fires. It will not be open again until 2015 sometime. So, don't bother going...

We were there in October of 2012 with our friends from Stuttgart, it was cold, with ice on the outside viewing platform, but the views were great! To warm up after, we sat at the window in the café and had coffee and lovely bits of deserts, cakes, pies. The ride up on the elevator was a bit scary for... More

The only site in Berlin for which I paid an entrance fee (12.50 Euro) but worth it. Groups of people taken up in elevator at a time so when buying ticket, you receive the scheduled time of your grouping. Our wait was 1.5 hours so had time to visit Alexanderplatz (across the street) and relax in the Fernsehturm lounge area... More

We found it difficult to find the entrance when getting of the tram. Nice view, but not worth all the trouble.
