Having caught the street car to the TV Tower stop we then walked some 600 metres to the tower. Guess what it was closed and apparently has been for some months. They hope it will reopen late in 2015 but there was no information about its closure anywhere in Stuttgart. Do check before you waste your time visiting

The city has closed this site while they determine how to make it safer during potential fires. It will not be open again until 2015 sometime. So, don't bother going...

We were there in October of 2012 with our friends from Stuttgart, it was cold, with ice on the outside viewing platform, but the views were great! To warm up after, we sat at the window in the café and had coffee and lovely bits of deserts, cakes, pies. The ride up on the elevator was a bit scary for... More

The only site in Berlin for which I paid an entrance fee (12.50 Euro) but worth it. Groups of people taken up in elevator at a time so when buying ticket, you receive the scheduled time of your grouping. Our wait was 1.5 hours so had time to visit Alexanderplatz (across the street) and relax in the Fernsehturm lounge area... More

We found it difficult to find the entrance when getting of the tram. Nice view, but not worth all the trouble.

Its a nice place outside Stuttgart, with a impressive view over the sourroundings. It has a nice restaurant, even if it might be a little difficult getting a table there. If you got some time, I would recommend walking to this place from the city centre, as you will get a nice walk up to the tower.

Fantastic views from this TV tower; it's a shame that they decided to close it off to the general public.

Just in case people don't scroll down all the reviews, the tower is now closed until further notice due to fire safety reasons...

We went there on a cloudy day and thought it was nice to sit and have a drink while watching the spectacular view of sparkling lights in the evening. The atmosphere was great, music was good. We wanted to go to the balcony area and whoa, the winds were so strong I literally had to grab hold of the rails.... More
