Nice gardens and easy lay out to follow. Easy stroller paths and child friendly atmosphere. Many of the cages were empty or under construction.

I've been to Karlsruhe many times and always enjoy going to walk through the zoo. It's not a big place, but it's wonderful for a relaxing stroll. The animal collection is relatively small, but there are other attractions - a rose garden, a fragrance garden, a small lake with some boats that run a circuit of the lake on an... More

We really enjoyed this zoo. It is very stroller friendly and basically a big circle to walk around. The animals were out and active, the only one we couldn't catch a glimpse of was the snow leopard and he might not have even been there at the moment. The only thing I would change for next time is that we... More

This was an enjoyable afternoon trip. It's fairly small, but there are plenty of quiet places to sit and enjoy a picnic. I believe this is the new zoo that was built after the original one burned (sad story). I didn't take the boat ride, but it looked delightful. P.S. I was actually there in June of 2012, but this... Nice for a walk, easy to follow. Great for families. Lovely garden, not too crowded, best time in the morning, close to cafes and restaurants.

The polar bear and sea-lions are good. The animals can be seen at close range. The lion and lioness are good.

We wanted to visit this zoo for its quaint size and diversity of animals and we were not disappointed. A family of 4 cost 24 euro to enter. The exhibits are clearly marked and the map is really easy to follow. The zoo is not terribly big which made for a nice afternoon stroll. They have a boat that runs... More

The zoo and gardens in Karlsruhe have always delighted me and still do. It's not a huge zoo, but it's nice and the landscaping is beautiful. There's a lake with little boats that you can ride in, and in the winter you can go ice skating on that very same lake. Several simple food stations offer tasty food.
