Being a couple of times there, I'd say is one of the prettiest places to see in Karlsruhe. A mixture between gardens and zoo just about right. The gardens look gorgeous in the summer, with some picnic spots. The zoo area is also very nice. You can see many different animals including elephants, leopard, flamingos, polar bears and penguins. Very... More

I've been to several zoos in different countries and cities but this is the one that i liked most! It is not just about animals, it is worth it even if you just want to go out for a walk. The area is big, so you might need about 3 hours to see everything. In summer, there is a lake... More

I'm not usually into zoos and hadn't set foot in one in years, but this zoo/park is huge, interesting and well kept. The animals were a lot more varied than we expected, from frogs to bats, sea lions to elephants, and snow leopards to hippos. There's also a nice cafeteria with a lovely view on monkeys and tropical plants.

I like to go there just to walk around the zoo or see the animals. You have on one side the animals and the other side the flamingos, the flowers and the japanese garten. They opened an exotic house. It´s nice but not so accessible with small kids.

Large zoo with many sections, well-planned out. Huge cafeteria with lots of hot meals. We had lots of fun & took tons of photos! Not overly busy either.

It is not only a zoo but a great relaxing place with the kids. The garden with a class cupboard for the books is excellent for the ones looking for a tranquil outdoor corner

A fantastic zoo. Animals from all over the world, beautiful nature and parks, food on every corner. Also, you can take a ride in a boat on the lake. P.S. If you're in Karlsruhe on Lichterfest, it's a great thing to see. Visit the zoo in the evening and enjoy candles and lights.

I have been to this zoo a few times by now and it is a great place to spend a day. My other half had some business stuff to attend so my son and I made frequent trips to the zoo. It has all the things kids love - animals of course, boat ride, petting zoo with goats and chickens... More
